The One and Only Part 3, Chapter 21

At the Quartermaine Mansion, AJ was pouring some water when Carly entered. "What are you doing here?" AJ asked. "I came to see Skye... Is she here?" Carly asked. "No... What do you want with my sister?" AJ asked. "Skye and I are friends now, for the girls' sake," Carly said. "I don't believe you're not going to hurt my sister... Jax chose Skye over you," AJ said. "Jax and I were over when he married Skye... I was with Sonny, and I've moved on," Carly said. "I don't believe you're not going to hurt my sister," AJ repeated. "I'm not going to hurt Skye. I'm just worried about her. We found out that Brenda planted the bomb in the hotel, not my mother," Carly explained. "Brenda?" AJ said. "Yes. Brenda was upset that Jax picked Skye over her," Carly explained. "So Brenda wants to hurt my sister," AJ said. "Yes, but she's in jail right now," Carly replied. "Good... I hope she stays there," AJ said. "Me too. Brenda might go after Skye," Carly added. "I'll make sure she doesn't," AJ promised. "Me too," Carly said as Skye entered.

"Well, it's nice to see you both in agreement about me," Skye said.

"Skye... You're okay. I was worried about you," Carly said.

"Thanks, Carly, but I'm fine. I just need to drive and clear my head," Skye responded.

"Oh... Are you okay?" Carly asked.

"I will be if Brenda stays in jail," Skye replied.

"She will," AJ confirmed.

"Yes," Carly echoed.

"You both sure get along for Michael's sake... Carly, I know my brother has hurt you both, but you can't hate each other because of him. He has both of you in him," Skye said.

"You're right... Michael does have a part of both of us," Carly agreed.

"Yes, the good part," AJ added.

"I agree. I'll try for Michael's sake. Skye, I'm glad you're okay," Carly said.

"Thank you, Carly, for caring," Skye responded.

"You're welcome... I'm glad we've put the past behind us for the girls' sake," Carly said.

"Me too... Jax would like this," Skye said.

"Yes... I sure would," Carly replied, then she left.

"Skye, are you okay?" AJ asked.

"I will be fine," Skye answered.

"You're not alone," AJ reassured her.

"I know," Skye said.

"Let's go to bed... You should rest for the baby's sake," AJ suggested.

"I will be up in a minute," Skye said. AJ left. Skye looked outside.

"Oh, Jax," Skye whispered, touching her stomach and crying.

At the police station — Brenda was in her cell when Robin entered.

"Brenda, did you kill Jax?" Robin asked.

"It wasn't meant for Jax," Brenda responded.

"Who was it meant for?" Robin pressed.

"Skye," Brenda admitted.

"Oh, Brenda? You can't do this. Jax was over you and happy with Skye, and now he's dead... I can't help you with this," Robin said.

"You're going to let me go to jail?" Brenda asked.

"That's where you belong. I'm sorry, but what you did was wrong," Robin replied and left.

"You will pay for this," Brenda whispered to herself.
