The One and Only Part 3, Chapter 46

At General Hospital, Alan and Lila Rae arrived. "Lila Rae, let's talk first," Alan said. "What is it, Grandfather?" Lila Rae asked. "Your mother is sleeping right now, and you can't wake her up. It has to be Skye and the medical team helping Skye wake up," Alan replied. "Yes, Grandfather," Lila Rae said. Alan took Lila Rae's hand, and they walked into Skye's room. Skye was lying on the bed. "Mother, I love you. Please wake up. I need you," Lila Rae said. "Your mother loves you," Alan said. "Well, Mother, wake up," Lila Rae asked. "Yes," Alan replied as Dr. Drake entered. "Dr. Quartermaine, I need to talk to you," Dr. Drake said. "Lila Rae, can you wait right here?" Alan asked. "Yes," Lila Rae said, taking her mother's hand. "Mother, I want to make it better for you and help you wake up," Lila Rae said as she kissed Skye.

In the hallway, Alan was talking to Dr. Drake when Dr. Kelly came by. "What is going on?" Alan asked. "Skye took a turn for the worse last night. We need to take the twins," Dr. Kelly said. "Will the twins make it?" Alan asked. "Yes, if we take the twins now," Dr. Kelly replied. "What about Skye?" Alan asked. "Skye can survive this," Dr. Drake said as AJ and Monica came by. "What is going on?" AJ asked. "Dr. Kelly has to take the twins now. Skye took a turn for the worse last night," Alan explained. "No," AJ said. "Why were we called last night?" Alan inquired. "There wasn't anything you could do. I know you're a doctor, but you're also a father right now," Dr. Drake said. "Go ahead and take the twins. That's what Skye would want," Alan said. "Yes, she would," Monica agreed. "Lila Rae is in the room with Skye," Alan added. "I will go get her," AJ said, then went into the room.

"Lila Rae," AJ called.

"Uncle AJ, will Mother make it or go to heaven like Daddy Lorenzo, Daddy Jax, and Grandmother?" Lila Rae asked.

"Your mother will make it. The doctor has to take the twins out," AJ replied.

"Okay, bye, Mother," Lila Rae said, kissing Skye on the lips. She took AJ's hand, and they left.

"I'm going to take Lila Rae out for ice cream," AJ said.

"Thank you," Alan responded. AJ and Lila Rae left, and Alan entered Skye's room. "Skye, Dr. Kelly is going to take the twins. I hope I'm doing the right thing for you," Alan whispered, then kissed Skye as Dr. Kelly arrived to prepare Skye for surgery.
