Leah's P.O.V

I must have gone to sleep on the couch because when I woke I was in a huge bed with Meredith on the end; I rolled over and was instantly aware of someone else in the bed too, they smelt like Taylor. Whoever it was woke up with a start and then pulled me closer to them and I realised it was Taylor. I cuddled in and tried to go back to sleep but then I remembered where I was. "Taylor..." I asked nicely and she answered me with a, "Yes Leah.""Do I have to go back to the Orphanage?" Afraid of the answer I turned away and felt her hand on my back. It was comforting but still not right. "Why? Don't you like it there?""Mrs Straight hits me when I do something bad and the others pick on me because I'm the youngest." "They hit you? Why don't you tell someone?"No one would believe an orphan Taylor, why should they?" "I would believe you. Come on let's go I'm going to adopt you. You can live here then.""Live here with you, forever?" to which Taylor nodded and so I accepted. "Yes Leah, will you let me adopt you. So you can live here forever?"

Taylor's P.O.V

Earlier in the day my mom came by unexpected. I answered the door with Leah on my hip and after putting her down to sleep on the couch wrapped in the blanket that my parents had given me when I left home. I thought it was cute and she was practically asleep with Meredith before I even moved away from the couch. I checked the door was locked and that the kitchen doors were left open a little and then I sat down to talk with my mom but it was clear that she wasn't very happy. I tried to argue my case being that she talked to me and trusted me; I knew that she wasn't right. Mom then went right off her tree, stating that I had no business having a child under my supervision then I told her bluntly. "Mom you let me talk to abused children when I am on tour how is it any different?" My mom was instantly quiet. I knew that I had made her think and she was shocked. "She is abused?" "Yeah mom she was the child I talked to you about the other day. You told me to ignore it. I can't ignore it she has bruises and scratches where it is impossible for her to do it to herself. So I will be adopting her and if you can't handle that then I will do it myself but I would love your support and love." My mom left pretty quickly after that and after seeing her out I returned inside as I was at the doorway and saw Leah sprawled out with Meredith both in weird positions so I took a picture. Smiling a little I went back to the kitchen and began to make cookies. When they were done I went to check Leah who was sound asleep on the couch. So instead of waking her for cookies I picked her up and carried her to my bed, tucking her in and letting her sleep and I crawled in beside her. I knew that I shouldn't want to adopt at twenty two but I couldn't see any way around it. I was financial and stable. I had a great support system in my family and band. I wanted and needed this and Leah defiantly needed it.
