It was a little after 9.30am when Taylor Swift pulled up outside the Orphanage in Nashville, accompanying her was her Lawyer John Yarn and also her bodyguard Devon, since she wasn't sure how this would go down. They politely rang the doorbell and were shown to an office where Mrs Straight introduced herself and then got to the point of why were we there?

Taylor's P.O.V

Earlier in the day I woke up and knew that I had to do something, rolling over the clock said 6.40am Leah was still asleep on the other side of the bed so I got up and went to my phone and rang my best friend Abigail who agreed to be at my house at 8.30am. Then I woke Leah and told her where I was going and that she would stay here with Abigail. She seemed okay with that and soon ate her breakfast, I washed her face and let her play with Meredith, it was when I was watching her that was when I realised how much she would change my lifestyle and travel schedule with her halo of blonde curls and blue eyes made her really cute and mom said it was like looking at me when I was her age. Everyone assumed that she was older but she was only four. I was glad that my mom had come around her, dad and Austin had talked and they all agreed that it was the best thing to do mom had told them about me tucking Leah in the blanket and that was when I knew that they were behind me. Mom had apologized but I told her it was fine for her to be sceptical. I think she appreciated the leeway I gave her considering I could have gotten really mad.

An hour later I heard the significant "DING, DONG" I rushed to get the door and welcome Abigail inside, she instantly went to the kitchen and took a cookie from the cookie monster tin I had on display and I'll bet she was about to take a bite when I heard a scream followed by footsteps rushing towards the living area where I was picking up the newspaper that Leah had been playing with earlier. Glancing up I saw it was Leah running to me, wide eyed and extremely nervous looking, I bent down as she ran into my arms and hugged me tight cuddling into the crook of my neck I whispered, "Ssshush Leah, that's Abigail. She won't hurt you. Come and meet her." Taking Leah back to Abigail who was still staring at the kitchen table where Leah had been colouring in a picture in a princess book. A neighbour had grandchildren and had given me that book a few months ago as her grandchildren wanted me to have it, it was princesses and I had colouring pencils for when I designed stages and stuff. I approached her and sat Leah on the bench. "Hey Abigail how are you?""Look Taylor, I don't know if you realise but there is a small child on your bench.""Of course I realise. This is Leah, she is four and I am about to go adopt her. It's why you are here." "You...adopt...oh my gosh Tay? Are you sure?" I had to laugh at Abigail's problem with trust. Leah was four I don't think she would be causing too much grief. "Yes, now you are here to watch her while I go to the orphanage. Okay, just feed her when she is hungry and get her to go to the toilet. You know the basics, Aunt Abi..." Abigail nodded and grinned as she and Leah watched each other.

Leah's P.O.V

Taylor had left me in the kitchen colouring when the doorbell rang and she answered it so I went back to colouring as the person came into the kitchen and took a cookie and Taylor was in the living room. I dropped the pencil I was using and it shocked the new person who dropped the cookie and screamed. This instantly made me remember being hit as a child so I ran to Taylor who brought me back to the kitchen to meet Aunt Abi properly. Which I did and now Taylor is leaving me here for a few hours to sort out the adoption. Would Mrs Straight really let me leave? Time would tell. But for right now Taylor is leaving and waving to me and Abigail and I'm nervous. What if Aunt Abi hits me?
