Karlie's P.O.V

After talking with Taylor on the phone I knew what I had to do, make her like me. I had liked her for so long that I felt like she was already my girlfriend. So many times before she got Leah and went on tour we would meet up in L.A or New York and have baking parties. I helped her pick her apartment here in New York knowing she would only be a few blocks from me. It was great to know that she was close by in case I needed her or she needed me. As soon as I heard about what Taylor had done with her life, cutting out her parents and firing her publicist I began to think and I knew that she needed to be here in New York City, whether it was with me or if she was alone she needed to be here and I wanted her here. Without really thinking I quickly grabbed my phone, purse and keys and headed to the nearest grocery store to buy food. I didn't know where Taylor and Leah were staying so I brought food for my apartment; I knew Taylor would want to shop for Leah. I arrived back to mine at 5.45pm and glancing at the clock as I put the groceries away I knew I had time to get to the airport and pick up my secret crush and her adorable daughter. Little did I know how the night would finish up...

Taylor's P.O.V

I was thankful for what must be the third time in the car back to Karlie's apartment. The first time was for flying privately, the second was for remembering Leah's car seat and the third for silently acknowledging my private feelings for Karlie. She didn't know, had no idea in fact but yet as she sat beside me driving us back I sensed that she had something she wasn't telling me, I decided to ask her later.

Opening the door to Karlie's apartment felt like coming home, the smells, the way the light hit certain items and it just was generally all Karlie. Nothing more perfect than that. I watched as Leah wandered inside, she had never been to Karlie's before but obviously felt comfortable enough to not hide behind me as she got a feel for the place. I turned and talked to Karlie who asked if we would stay the night and I agreed. Turning I couldn't see Leah anywhere I asked Karlie but she said "No, she followed you up. Probably just exploring." I nodded but went looking for her anyway. I had to smile when I found her, calling Karlie I watched her take a picture of the most precious pose I had ever seen. Leah was sleeping on Karlie's bed but she had pulled the blanket off the foot of the bed and wrapped herself into it with Brownie before hugging the pillow I usually use when I stay here. "Aww Tay, check that out. Like mother, like daughter..." I laughed but agreed and as we left to start making dinner. I was amazed that Karlie had been shopping and as we bustled around the kitchen, laughing and joking I was amazed at how much better and happier she seemed. I also noticed how she would stare at me for long periods of time but I put that down to her not seeing me often. Watching her blush as I caught her again I felt myself tingling in anticipation, wondering if she was feeling the same way as me, every look that passed turned me on until a little voice broke me out of my trance. "Mommy, I'm hungry..." I looked to the doorway to see Leah with her clothing all rumpled and her tiny fists rubbing sleep from her eyes. I opened my arms as she came to me and I lifted her, sitting her on the island counter I told her dinner was in five minutes. She nodded while yawning and turned to Karlie who had walked over, I left the kitchen to grab my phone and when I came back I heard Leah asking Karlie the question.

Leah's P.O.V

Mommy and I took a loooong plane ride to Apple today to see Karlie for a while. It was a great plane ride and I liked it until I asked mommy a question that she didn't really like. I asked her If Karlie could be my other mommy since I didn't have a daddy. Mommy had told me to ask Karlie so when mommy left I asked her. "K-Karlie..." I yawned as Karlie came closer.
"What sweetie?" she asked as she moved towards me, just standing beside me.
"Will you be my other mommy one day?" I could tell she didn't like the question either and I asked it as mommy came back in. "U-Uhm, I don't know Leah maybe..." she said, since she hadn't seen mommy. "Okay Karlie. Mommy is it dinner now?" I watched Karlie go bright red and then mommy did the same. Uncle Al taught me that mommy's face would go red when she loved someone. So I guess mommy loves Karlie. Yay!
