Leah's P.O.V
Taylor came home from her meeting with Mrs Straight and I was busy playing with Abigail. She and I were baking in the kitchen when it exploded. Taylor came home and I expected to be told off but she only laughed. The she told me she was adopting me and that we were going shopping. She also told me that I could call her mom or mommy which was awesome so I called her mommy. Then I ran to get my shoes from her room. That's where I had left them. Then when I came back down the security people took us shopping. They were really nice and one was named Devon who was funny.
Taylor's P.O.V
I had made the decision to arrive at the shops and enter through the back since Leah wasn't used to the paparazzi so I made changes. Once we were inside I took her hand and walking at her pace we soon made our way around the mall. But by mid-afternoon Leah was completely tired at one point earlier Devon my security man had asked me if I was buying the whole shop. I told him possibly. This morning driving home it had hit me on just how much I would need to get. I was well equipped for living alone with Meredith and having odd friends stay but nothing other than that since whenever Austin came home I stayed at home with mom and dad. So when we arrived this morning Leah and I went to the food court and I brought her an ice-cream while I made a list. People didn't bother me for an autograph because its Nashville and people see me all the time. So we were left alone. I got out paper and took notes. "bed, duvet, blankets, pillows, toys, games, IPad, IPod, DVD's, t-shirts, shorts, underwear, singlet's, socks, shoes, jeans, dresses, skirts, jerseys, cardigans, hoodies, jackets, vests, hats, toothbrush, hairbrush, hair ties, clips, bows, headbands..." the list went on and on. After another two hours Devon was carrying Leah because she was asleep and he said he didn't mind. I ducked into the pet shop and brought Meredith more food and then we left for home with me also carrying Leah's new flowery pink car seat.
The bed and bedroom furniture had been delivered by the time we got back and mom was in my kitchen she had been directing the furniture men on which room everything went into thankfully because I lived in an apartment building the huge truck unloading stuff made it hard for people to guess who was getting all the stuff so no one knew yet. Mom had come around to the idea of Leah and loved her already. Upon arriving back at the apartment door I took Leah from Devon and bid them goodnight. I opened the door to find my mom watching T.V surrounded with bags of clothing, toys and other accessories so I motioned for her to follow me, and she watched as I took Leah up to my room, put her into bed, tucked her in then kissed her goodnight, my blanket was then tucked around her and she was snuggling into it but I knew it would be me in a few hours when I went to bed. Turning around I saw mom watching me with tears in her eyes, so I cheekily said "Hey nana are you okay?" to which she smiled and nodded we then turned and went to Leah's room. Where mom and I began to put away hundreds of bags of clothes, we also made the bed and put some of the toys in her little toy box we had brought as well as some downstairs so she could play down there too because let's face it I had the time of my life shopping for my daughter. Sure she helped but it was like being a kid again. It was so much fun but the best part was sticking pictures of fish and dolphins along the marble bathtub in the main bathroom, I knew that it would be easier to make that a child friendly space rather than my bathroom where all my makeup was. So the bedroom and bathroom looked like a kid's magazine and pretty soon we were done. Mom then bid me goodnight after joking about maxing out my credit card to which I told her "I'm good for it and you know it!" Then I went downstairs and made dinner for Leah and I as it was 6.30pm after cooking the macaroni cheese I then woke Leah and carried her downstairs since she was still sleepy and we ate she was a pretty good eater she didn't seem to mind much. Then a quick bath and into her new cat pyjamas she was into her new bed and fast asleep. I snapped a picture then tweeted it with the hash tag #sweetestdaughterever!
Two minutes later Abigail Anderson re-tweeted it and Swifties began to comment so I went and wrote a song. I wrote it all then decided that there was no-way that my newly adopted four year old daughter would grow up fast. I wanted her to be a normal kid, despite having a not so normal mom who was a superstar. I loved Leah already and on Tuesday she would start at preschool and start using the name Leah Jane Swift and everything would change for me and my daughter.
