Karlie's P.O.V
Taylor and I sat Leah down and explained that she could now call me 'mama' which felt amazing, I held Taylor's hand the whole time and Leah sat and watched us with a twinkle in her eye. I heard the doorbell ring and stood up to answer it as Leah said, "You won't leave me, will you mama?" I turned and looked at Taylor before crouching down to talk to Leah. "Never in a million years will I leave you Leah, I travel for work sometimes but you have mommy when I'm away. Okay?" She nodded and pushed herself into my arms. I hugged her and heard the doorbell again and Cara call out, "Come on Karls, I know you're here. Open up!" I smiled at Leah and said,
"Want to meet some new people?" She smiled and nodded and I lifted her to my hip and carried her to the door. I paused and smiled at Leah who looked at me. "You ready?" I questioned as she flashed a huge smile at me, I opened the door.
Cara's P.O.V
I was back in New York for a day and I knew just how I wanted to spend my day. I called up my modelling squad and discovered that Lily, Kendal and Gigi were also in New York and I knew Karlie was on a break for a few weeks so I called her and invited us to her place. She sounded tired when I called but excited to hear from us. "Lil, have you heard from Karlie lately?"
"Not recently, though I heard a rumour that she picked up Taylor from the airport last night..."
"Taylor, as in Taylor Swift?" I questioned as I looked at Lily. She nodded and I said,
"Why would T. Swizzle be in New York? Doesn't she live in Nashville?" I questioned as Lily nodded and said, "Yeah we are neighbours in Nashville, I talked to her a few days ago and she said that her and Leah were in Nashville for the next few months, which is sad really." I looked at her in surprise as we began to climb the stairs to Karlie's floor. "Why sad?" Lily looked apologetic as she said, "I really shouldn't say but I know that Taylor's parents are the driving force behind every decision she makes, I doubt whether most of them are her decisions. I know when she brought her apartment that they flipped out because she wouldn't be around for them to control..." I glanced at Lily as we started up the next flight of stairs and Gigi and Kendal both looked saddened by that thought. "That sucks, I've only met Taylor once at Victoria's Secret but she seemed so nice but she was always looking around like she wasn't comfortable." Lily nodded and explained that it's how she is because of her parents. I nodded sympathetically as we began to talk about Karlie again and suddenly Kendal said "I heard Taylor was single though, maybe Karlie should tell Taylor how she feels because that Josh dude she has been seeing was a douche." I nodded and looked to Gigi who said, "Yeah he was, they aren't together anymore. He cheated on her so she could be upset. Just be normal with her, joking and such." Everyone nodded and we walked towards the door where I rang the doorbell. We waited and I rang it again before I started abusing the door and telling Karlie to open up.
All of a sudden I heard footsteps and the door opened and just as I was about to say, "Its' about bloody time Karlie." I noticed the small child in her arms who was watching me. "Oh, who's this?" I watched her look at Leah before she said, "Oh this is Leah..." I smiled and said, "Hey there kiddo." But then the kids smile widened and Lily laughed and moved forward as Leah stretched out to her. "Hey there Miss Leah, where is your mommy?" I was a bit shocked then I pieced it all together. "No way, T. Swizzle is here?" I questioned as Karlie handed Leah to Lily. She looked down and smiled, "Yeah she's here..."
"Karlie Elizabeth Kloss did you tell her?" I demanded as Gigi and Kendal laughed as Karlie went bright red. She nodded her head and I burst through her door. "Taylor bloody Swift, come out here right now!" I yelled as everyone laughed at me. Sure enough her familiar blonde head peaked out from the kitchen. "Oh hey Cara..."
"Don't you 'oh hey Cara' me woman, why didn't you tell me?" I watched her go red too before she said, "I don't know I figured it wasn't reciprocated so I didn't say." I laughed and turned so everyone was in view. "We need a drink to celebrate Taylor and Karlie finally getting together."
"Hey what about me?" I turned to Leah and nodded.
"Oh bloody well, and mini Taylor too." Everyone laughed and pretend raised a glass while I saw Taylor and Karlie exchanging a look of relief. "Right now that, that's over lets go shopping." I state and Karlie and Taylor grab shoes as Lily puts Leah's on. I smiled at the scene and soon we were out on the street.
Karlie's P.O.V
We had been shopping for a few hours and I could tell that Leah was getting sick of it. I noticed her dragging her feet so when the others went into a shoe shop to try stuff on I took Leah's hand and dragged her next door to a frozen yoghurt place. "Want one Leah?" I questioned looking down at her. "Oh yes please mam-Karlie." I looked down at her puzzled and she beckoned me to crouch down. "I don't know what to call you in public..." she stated looking at her boots. I lifted her chin and said, "You can call me mama sweetie, I'm going nowhere." I watched her smile as we got our frozen yoghurt. Leah and I got strawberry and I grabbed a raspberry one for Taylor. I paid for them and picked up Leah so we could head next door, upon entering I set Leah down and she followed me to where they were all trying on shoes. I sat Leah on the couch and handed her the strawberry one and a napkin whilst I sat next to her but I indicated to Taylor that I got her a raspberry one too. She smiled and I felt butterflies erupt. I turned and began to speak to Leah and before I knew it Taylor had joined us as the others drifted off to photo shoots across the city. I smiled at the environment. We were eating frozen yoghurt in a shoe shop and to me it felt like family time.
