Taylor's P.O.V
Leah tensed up after she woke, I felt her turn towards Austin as his voice was new but now a slight wetness was leaking through my stripped top, motioning towards Leah as I looked at mom I then left the room, climbing the stairs I located my old room and sat down on the edge of the bed cradling Leah as tiny sobs racked her body then she said "Mommy, whose the strange man? Will he get me?""No pumpkin, that's Uncle Austin, he came all the way here to meet you and he's really excited." "Uncle Austy...like granddad showed me mommy?" I nodded knowing that she meant the pictures from the first time she met my parents so to make her feel more comfortable I said "Yes pumpkin, now you and Brownie are going to come downstairs with me and we will just talk to Uncle Austy okay? How does that sound?" Leah looked all around before her eyes made their way back to mine and she nodded and said "Okay mommy, but can you...uhm." "Can I what honey?" Leah snuggled closer and I got what she meant. "Yes honey I will carry you." I felt her physically relax into my arms and as she picked up Brownie and I stood up and held her snuggly against me, feeling her cool skin for the first time, I asked her, "Pumpkin are you cold?" "A little mommy, but I'm tired." I smiled at her, before starting to walk downstairs to everyone else. "Well how about we sit beside the fire and talk to Uncle Austy and you can sleep if you want okay?" She nodded and moved closer again walking downstairs I moved towards the fire and sat down, Leah practically sat on top of me but I was used to it. "So Leah tell Uncle Austy what you did you did today." "Uncle Austy I washed my American Girl doll in the bath while I was taking one." Leah laughed as Austin looked at me, we were all relaxing after a decent dinner, Leah had warmed to Austin since this morning so we ended up staying the whole day and Leah was now sitting on him but I caught her rubbing her eyes which is my indication that she is tired, so when is stand to leave, no one is shocked. I make the point of saying, "I have Leah to consider guys." So I picked Leah up and carefully placed her on my hip, she curled into me and whispered "I love you mommy." Kissing the side of her head I started towards the door but Austin stopped me and said "Let me warm up your Highlander for Leah, okay?" I nodded and handed him the keys while I paced the living room holding Leah while keeping up conversation with my parents. Ten minutes later Austin came back and said it was warm, so I carried Leah out while everyone followed. Kissing and hugging everyone I checked Leah once more before hopping in the driver's seat and arriving home thirty minutes later I checked the rear-view mirror and smiled. Leah was sound asleep in her car seat with Brownie, snapping a picture I sent it to mom, dad, Austin and Abigail. They all responded along the lines of cute and adorable.
Austin's P.O.V
I met Leah for the first time today, she was exactly who mom said she was, kind of shy to begin with and very clingy to Tay. I had to laugh when Tay arrived and Leah was asleep but I understood, she was sick but she looked adorable. Tay had dressed her in black tights and a ballerina skirt with a long sleeved top and a plaid purple coat that was adorable. Tay then said Leah got her coat and boots and I was instantly in love with my new niece. We probably sat for almost half an hour talking college, tours and finance. Then I noticed a whimpering noise and for the first time I noticed Tay was rubbing Leah's back attempting to soothe her. Tay was perfect with her, looking at mom and nodding Tay and Leah made their way out of the room and returned ten minutes later where mom served breakfast with Tay while Leah sat the fire I asked her about colouring and she giggled and grinned. Nodding we were soon in conversation then after breakfast she was sitting with Tay beside the fire and I said "Taylor..." to get her attention and Leah quickly said "No Uncle Austy, that's mommy..." Pointing at Taylor as Tay grinned. They ended up staying all day and it was the most fun I'd had in ages however all too soon they were leaving and so I went and started her Toyota Highlander so it would be a warm place for Leah who was asleep.
Thinking after Taylor left, I was sceptical when mom first mentioned it but now that Taylor has had Leah for almost two months and leaving on tour soon I knew it was meant to be. I know many think that you have to be married to have a child and whenever I read a story about Taylor and Leah in the paper I can't help but disagree, Taylor is married as she is married to her fans, her music, her family and most of all Leah is the centre of Taylor's world and if someone told her one or other she would always choose Leah. That's just the type of person my sister is and I couldn't be more proud of her.
