Karlie's P.O.V
I walked from the room feeling totally dejected. There was no one on the planet who could ever replace my wife but now it seems like being abducted is all it takes for you to forget your past life. Taylor has no idea that we are married or that she has Leah or that we even love each other. I can't figure out what part hurts more. My wife forgetting she loves me or my wife forgetting her own daughter. The waiting room has become quiet again as I see Caitlin and Jack sitting together, they stand as I leave the room and Jack says my parents took Leah back to the apartment. I nod and tell Caitlin that she can go in. She nods and Jack pulls me into a hug. It was then that the tears appeared. "She doesn't know we are married or that she has Leah. Jack what am I going to do?" I cry as he hugs me close. "Wait Karlie. It will get better if you wait." I pull away and sit down as he does the same.
Caitlin's P.O.V
Walking into the room I hear Taylor screech, I shut the door and walk over. "What's wrong Taylor?" "Caitlin who...I mean what...god am I married?" I start to laugh.
"Good one Swift, of course you are. Have been for three weeks now..." I continued laughing but stopped when I realised she wasn't joking. "Who?" I give her a puzzled look.
"What do you mean who? Are you kidding me?" She looked at me and I moved closer taking her hand. "Oh gosh you don't remember do you?" I was so shocked I couldn't say anything. Taylor didn't even remember her own wife. Inside my mind I was mentally freaking out, Taylor had just nodded off for another nap and I wasted no time in sitting and stewing about what I would say when she woke up. Deciding to tempt fate I called Karlie in, "Hey Karlie, I'm just heading off now. Sit with her." I said as she came in but as I spoke I saw the deer stuck in the headlights look come across her face. "What if she wakes up?" she stammered at me. I smiled at her.
"Karlie, she's your wife." I state as I walk out, turning around in time to see Karlie take Taylor's hand and press a kiss to it. A warm feeling came across me and I felt like it was perfect.Taylor's P.O.V
I woke up at some point of the night to a strange feeling of someone holding my hand. I noticed that the lights were still on and as I looked down I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Karlie head was resting by my side, her mouth hung open like a baby just gently snoring away. I was about to snuggle back down to sleep when something on her hand caught my eye. Looking at her hand that was semi tucked away I dragged it into view as she stirred and looked at me. Seeing my confusion she quickly looked to where I was holding and I watched a look of regret come across her face as she re-buried it in the hospital blankets. "K-K-Karlie..." I stammered not knowing how to approach this. "Are you married?" She looked up and nodded. "I can't believe Josh proposed to you?" She looked devastated when I said that. "I'm not married to Josh, Taylor." She said in a small voice avoiding my eyes. My heart began to palpitate, "What do you mean? You love each other." I state in a confused voice. She looks at me and I feel her eyes pierce mine. "Not really, I love someone else more and they take my breath away all the time." I saw her blush at the end but not understanding who she was married to if it wasn't Josh. "So uhm, who are you married to?" I question as she looks at me licking her lips and making me feel a weird sense of arousal. 'Stop it Taylor, for god sakes that's your married best friend, and you're married too.' I thought as I pushed my comments aside. "Oh don't you know?" Karlie questions suggestively as she watches me intently. I shake my head as she stands to full height and comes over to me. Leaning down she presses her lips to my ear and says, "Oh I'm married to Taylor Swift, we have a daughter." My mind fizzes as she talks and memories start to flood back. Memories of us declaring our love in her apartment, Leah running around a large table and talking to Meredith and a white kitten, Karlie surprising me here in Nashville and us spending time together childless in Nashville. But then things go from happy to bad as memories of Abigail repeatedly hitting me and my father laughing, fighting and disowning my family and then just as I think it's about to get worse everything stops. I glance at Karlie still not quite believing that this was real. "Are you serious right now?" I question as she leans over and presses her lips to mine, sparks ignite everywhere as my lips willingly mould to hers, my hands drift up her side as she stays above me. Never moving and then I remember the wedding day. Karlie and I in white dresses reciting our vowels before flying to Fiji. Karlie pulls away first and lays her forehead against mine. "Do you remember now?" she questions and I cockily say, "You never forget your one true love."
