Clearing Matters

Karlie's P.O.V

I heard Taylor's footsteps coming back towards me in the kitchen and I knew that something was a little different. Her steps sounded different to when she left a while ago but I ignored it until she spoke. "Hey Karlie," I moved my head towards her and saw Leah as well. I felt myself smile and I saw Taylor smile as I walked over towards them. "Guess who I found sleeping amongst your shoes under the GENIUS jersey?" I looked at her then laughed and Leah turned to face me. "Not funny mama, your shoes pointy." She stated with a pout. It was adorable so I laughed again before running my hand through her blonde curls. I still couldn't get over how much Taylor and Leah looked alike it was nice to see. Leah turned in Taylor's arms and reached for me. "Mama..." she called and I opened my arms as she transferred to me, "Do you want your breakfast now missy?" I questioned as her eyes lit up. "Pancakes?" she questioned and I turned to show her the smiley face I made her out of fruit. Her face lit up and she squirmed to get down and look at it closer. I carefully set her down and just like I thought she got closer but as soon as she got to the table she turned and pouted at Taylor and I, "Mama, I can't wreach it." She stated I looked at Taylor who laughed at her and left the room muttering about brushing her teeth. "Okay hold up there cannon ball you'll still get the pancakes." She giggled and I kissed her cheek before setting her down and pouring the maple syrup as she directed. I sat down next to her and cut up the pancake so she could eat it easily and she was content with that. Taylor soon came back and I made us coffee to drink while Leah ate, she soon finished and we began to do dishes until Taylor spoke. "Hey uhm Karlie I have a question for you." I finished washing the plates and turned to look at her whilst I dried my hands.  "What is it babe?" I questioned as we walked towards the lounge and sat on the couch. Leah was playing in the corner with a few of the toys I usually kept for Lily's daughter Dixie who Leah hadn't met yet. "Uhm well this morning when Leah woke up, she would have been cold and well usually she comes and cuddles with me when she wakes because some days it's the only time she has during the day." I motion her to continue while smiling at her. "So I was wondering if you would have a problem with Leah coming into us when she wakes up?" my heart began to beat faster as Leah looked at me. She could understand what Taylor was saying and I turned to Taylor and said, "Of course she can come into us. I don't mind." Taylor's face looked blank.

"You don't mind?" she questioned as I shook my head.

"No way, she's your daughter and if she wants to cuddle with you who am I to stop her?" I answered. "Uhm her mama?" Taylor answered with a sassy tone. I laughed and pulled her to me.  "Yes I am, but she was yours first." I watched Taylor smile and glance at Leah and then at the clock. It was nearly 11.00 am but I didn't understand why she was looking at the clock.

Taylor's P.O.V

I felt much better after talking to Karlie about what Leah does in the mornings, I know it will take some getting used to but she seemed all for it. Glancing at the clock I saw it was Leah's nap time. "Okay missy, nap time. Please go to the toilet." I said to Leah and she stood up and walked to Karlie and I. "Mommy..." I smiled not knowing where this was going.

"Yes sweetie." I said back.

"Can mama put me to bed?" a look of surprise passed over my face very quickly. I nodded and looked at Karlie who looked happy but a little dubious since she didn't want to overstep but my heart was bursting with love, both for my daughter and for Karlie. "You want to babe?" I questioned. She looked at me. "Uhm, yeah sure okay." I watched Leah smile then go to the bathroom. I then looked at Karlie. "You okay Karlie? You look a little uhm I don't know weird." She turned to me and kissed me. "I'm fine I just don't want to step on your toes." I smiled at her and pecked her lips.  "You're not I love seeing Leah wanting you to do things too. So you better go put her to bed. I'll be in your bedroom..." I say with a smirk. She grins automatically knowing where this morning is going.

Fifteen minutes later Karlie walks into the bedroom with a huge smirk on her face. I looked at the clock in shock. "How did you...oh my god Karlie, how did you get her down so fast?" She looked at me shrugging her shoulders. "Don't know. I just read her a book and she fell asleep. Covered her up and here I am." She finished with a smirk. I laughed and stood up to walk to her but she pushed us backwards. 'Hmm I like where this is headed' I decided as her lips met my throat. 'Very much so.'
