Chapter 6

So I have decided to just completely skip season 4 because it's really boring to write and I feel like there is way too much dialogue so from now on this will take place after season 4. i am not intending for this to be anything like stranger things 5.

(Mikes POV)

"Why do we have to leave mommy?"

"We just do we will stay at the Byers in California for a night then we will get to move into a new house! isn't that exciting?"

"Yeah i guess."

A fresh start at least that's what mom says I've lived here my entire life in this town my entire life is here. At least my friends are coming. Oh that reminds me i have to go and see if El is going to come- wait she isn't talking to me. I'll figure it out.

"MOM I'M GOING OVER TO SEE EL. OKAY!"

"okay sweetie just be back by 8!"

I let my thoughts wander as i bike through the cracked roads and the streets i used to know so well the town i used to know so well reduced to nothingness "why did will have to disappear that night?" i say quietly to myself if he hadn't none of this would've happend we wouldn't have found El in the woods, she would've been found by Brenner or maybe even Vecna i guess it could be worse. We could all be dead and I wouldn't be here biking through these torn apart suburbs. It could be worse i keep reminding myself.

(Wills POV)

I still can't believe that everyone is coming to California with us we are all going to go to the same school again and it's going to be awesome mom even managed to convince hop to come with us but El is going to be home schooled but she says she still wants to go back to school to get her stuff and say goodbye to Mrs Gracie.

"El? El are you there?"

"Hi Mike sorry El isn't here, her and hop went out to catch up on everything that he missed out on. But Will's here if you want to talk to him." Joyce says

"Oh. Okay where is he?"

"He's just in El's room."

"Okay, thanks Joyce!"

"No problem sweetie."

My stomach starts to get back on that roller coaster but it's a feeling I'm used to now.

"Hey Will."

"Hi"

"Do you know if El is coming to Cali with us i know hop was't too keen on it."

So thats what he wanted i mean what did i expect he did come here to see El in the first place.

"Ye- yeah she's coming but she won't be coming to school with us for obvious reasons, but she will be there for the first few days to get her stuff and say bye to some of her favorite teachers."

"Okay."

I start to go back to staring blankly at the wall assuming that he will leave now that he knows what he came here to ask but my thoughts get interrupted by him saying something else.

"Will?"

"Yeah?"

"I wanted to ask you something ."

"Okay what is it?"

"It's about the painting."

I feel my stomach drop as he says those few words i was hoping she wouldn't say. what if he knows? No he can't know right?

"Wh- what about it?"

"I just wanted to say."

The roller coaster is dropping at an alarming rate.

"It's amazing and maybe when we get to your house could you maybe teach me how to paint?"

Thank god that's what he said.

"Ye- yeah sure it's quite a process though so it might take awhile."

"Okay well i better get going can't be late for my last night in hawkins!"

"Okay bye mike!"

"Bye Will."

(Mikes POV)

That wasn't what you were meant to ask Will Mike! Wow you really just out did yourself.
