Chapter 16

(Wills POV)

"Hey Will!" I hear a voice behind me call.

I turn around to see Shawnee one of the people i didn't want to see.

"What do you want Shawnee?"

"Nothing i just heard yelling and i was wondering if everything's okay."

"Yes, everything's fine." I say trying to walk away.

"Well it didn't sound fine, you sounded mad." She says crossing her arms and moving in front of me.

"I'm fine!" I say.

"No you are not fine Will." 

God she's annoying i just want to go but she just won't leave.

"I'm fine Shawnee now can i go?"

"Fine leave."

"Took you long enough." I whisper under my breath as i hastily walk away.

Now I need to figure out where I could go. I could go to the library but i might run into someone i know and i don't feel like talking to anyone. Rink-o-mania? Nah people are probably still talking about what happend with El and i don't want to be harassed. That only leaves the school but I don't want to go there unless i have to.

Then all of a sudden a firework goes off in my brain and i scream "THE HOSPITAL!" out loud even though i don't mean too, i start to run there i know it isn't too far away but it's still a decent amount away.

(Mikes POV) 

"Hello does Shawnee live here?" i ask after knocking on yet another door.

"No sorry." I get told as another door gets slammed in my face.

"PIECE OF SHIT!!" i scream.

"Let me guess no luck?" Dustin asks.

"We only have like 4 houses left how did we get so unlucky?"

"Well I'll do the next one then." Lucas says standing up off of the curb and walking towards one of the houses we had already done.

"Wrong house Lucas!" Dustin yells before Lucas gets the chance to knock on the door.

"Oh, shit sorry." Lucas says running down the path and onto the right one.

I sit down on the curb and bury my face in my hands until i feel a hand on my shoulder and look up.

"It's gonna be okay Mike we will find him."

"Yeah i know i mean he's smart and strong he's one of the most perfect people i know."

"Well if it was up to me i would just hurry up and make a move before school starts again."

"It's just hard you know."

"Well not really but i could imagine it."

The silence grows between us but it's not an awkward silence it's almost comforting in some way.

"Hello, does Shawnee live here?" I hear Lucas ask the girl who answered the door.

"That would be me."

Holy shit it took us long enough and finally on one of the last doors we finally find her.

:Okay, sweet. We are looking for our friend Will Byers we heard you knew him."

"Yeah, why do you want to find him?"

"Well he's our friend and we can't find him."

"Well he's not here i saw him though he was walking well more like running into town i don't know where he was going though."
