Chapter 28

(Mikes POV)

As we enter my house through the wooden door I look towards the basement only to see Lucas and Dustin looking up at us from the stairs. I make some quick hand gestures trying to get them to go down. Dustin gets the message first and ushers Lucas back down the stairs. Thankfully Will is too busy looking around to notice them.

"So what do you think?"

"It just looks so similar it's almost like I'm back in Hawkins at your old house." He says still looking around the house standing there in total awe.

"Yeah I couldn't believe how similar it was when I first got here as well. But anyway let's start UPSTAIRS." I yell so they can hear me down in the basement so now they can have a rough estimate of how long they have until we are going to be.

"Why did you yell that last part?" Will asks me.

"Oh I don't know but c'mon I'll show you my room."

(Lucas's POV)

"Okay so we have until the tour is done do you think we can finish in that time." I ask Dustin.

"Well we do have a bit of help." He says gesturing to Steve, Robin, Erica and El.

"If I'm being honest I don't think they'll be much help." I say quietly so hopefully only Dustin can hear me.

"Hey, just tell me what I have to do and I can be quite a bit of help." Steve chimes in.

"Yeah, same here." Robin says.

I don't even know if Mike knows that Dustin brought around everyone. I know that he invited him and I but I'm not sure about everyone else. I'm sure he'll be fine with it. I need to find the Will the Wise costume but I don't know where it is. I honestly don't even know if it's here in Lenora. I think Mike's house got completely cleaned out and will be the same with Will's. Okay so either it's here in Mikes house because last time I saw it was when Will was begging Mike and I to play dnd with him I don't remember seeing him pack it up. We should've just played it, who knows what might've happened if we did.

"Lucas, do you know where the Will the Wise costume is?" Dustin yells at me from the other side of the room.

"It's either here or somewhere at Will's place. El. by any chance do you know if Will has his Will the wise costume?"

"Oh, yeah it's in his room hanging up in the wardrobe at least that's where I last saw it."

"How do you know it's there?" Steve asks, standing up off the couch.

"For the first few months after we left he would try it on every now and then and ask me if I thought it still fit. He eventually stopped trying; he gave up trying to make new friends so they could play dnd with him. I honestly think you guys ruined the game for him."

"What did I do?" Dustin asks.

"Not you Dustin Lucas and Mike."

So I'm the reason he doesn't play anymore but I just didn't play for that year but I mean surely that didn't ruin it.

"I ruined it for him?" I ask quietly.

"Yeah I think what you said just kept playing in his mind and then he eventually believed whatever you said and stopped trying he gave up on it."

I think back in that day but I don't remember much only waking up to Will playing music, asking to take a shower then still not being quite awake and Mike not taking the campaign seriously and just making fun of it then Will leaving but I can't remember me saying anything unless Mike said something when he chased Will outside.
