Chapter 11

(Mikes POV)

"Have fun brochachos." 

"Thanks Argyle!" Will says while jumping out of the van.

"No problem brochacho!" Argyle yells as he starts to drive away.

"Where do you guys want to start?"

"Do you guys have a mall or an arcade or anything like that?" Lucas asks Will.

"Yeah we have a small arcade in the mall and there are a few video games at rink-o-mania. But the mall is nothing like starcourt was."

"Hey Mike can i talk to you for a sec in private?"

"Ye-yeah sure you two go ahead we'll catch up later."

What does Dustin want? Is it about Will or El? Just breath surely he can't know about you right? God i hope not.

"Mike this is about Will."

"What about him?"

"Did he tell you?"

"Tell me what?"

"About who he likes."

"He told me he likes someone, a boy, but he won't say who. OMG DO YOU KNOW!?!?" i say maybe a little too excitedly.

"Yeah i know who but i know the real reason why you care so much."

Shit, how could he know i haven't told anyone is it really that obvious i mean if it was Nancy would've said something. 

"I know you like him."

Shit, shit okay try to play it off Mike.

"well yeah he's my best friend." I can feel my face get hotter and start to turn red.

"Mike you know what i mean. I know you LOVE him like not as a friend."

"Wh-what no i don't."

"you can deny it as long as you want but just remember i know the truth Mike. We should go catch up with the others now." Dustin says as he starts to jog over to the others leaving me frozen in place.

"Hurry up Mike!" Will screams after me.

"Co-coming!" I scream back as i start to run to catch up to him.

"Will POV)

flashback to when Lucas and Will were walking ahead while the others stayed back.

 Why is it always so awkward when it's just Lucas and me? Oh wait I can ask him about the clock that I saw.

"Hey Lucas can I ask you something?"

"Sure, what's up man?"

"It's about Max." I notice his eyes open wide and get glossy almost like he's trying to hold in tears.

"Ye-yeah sure."

"What did she say about the clock she saw?"

"Well she said that it was a big grandfather clock and it was half covered when she first saw it I think that's it. Why?"

Oh shit does this mean that i'm going to die next but i still have so much left to do i-i'm not ready. 

"I-I think i saw it last night it was weird it was like i was back in the upside down but it wasn't cold or anything like that it was just like it was all in my mind or something like that. I know it sounds stupid."

"Will." Lucas says now suddenly sounding scared.

"Yeah?"

"I don't want you to freak out okay?" he says not waiting for a reply before he starts to talk again. "This will sound kinda strange but we need to know your favorite song and well you may not have much time left."

"WHAT!?! HOW ARE YOU SO CALM YOUR PRACTICALLY TELLING ME I'M GOING TO DIE SOON!"

"No, not necessarily we saved Max once we will save you soon but just in case it's best to say your goodbyes. What's your favorite song?"

"ummmm probably should stay or should I go by the clash."

"I see you haven't changed much."

 we get interrupted by Dustin running in and waking Lucas on the shoulder. "Hey guys I'm back."

"Where's Mike?"

"He's still back there."

"Hurry up Mike!"

"Co-coming." He says as he starts running to catch up to me.

"What took you so long man?" Lucas asks.

"Oh nothing just thinking."

"Well i think Will has something he wants to say to you."

wait what? what do i have to tell them ummmmmm oh wait wow i really am stupid!

"I-I saw the clock th-the one that max saw so i probably won't make it through the day so yeah."

"WAIT, WHAT?!?!?!?" Mike and Dustin say in unison.

"Ye-yeah but i haven't had one in ages so maybe it's just a coincidence. Anyway lets get this tour started for real this time."

"O-okay." Mike replys while the others just start walking.
