Chapter 7

In the surfer boy pizza truck is Will, Dustin, El, Johnathan, Argyle, Hopper and Joyce driving ( because she didn't trust Argyle).

In the Wheeler car is Holly, Nancy, Mike, Karen and Ted

In the Sinclair car is Erica, Lucas, Sue (their mom) and Charles (their dad)

Claudia Henderson is driving by herself.

Max is being transported to a hospital in Lenora at the wishes of her mother who is staying in a temporary accommodation there until she can get a house.

Steve and Robin are driving up together

(in the surfer boy pizza van)

El is falling asleep on Johnathan's shoulder who is half asleep himself Dustin and Will are quietly talking in the back of the van.

"Hey will?"

Will turns to look at Dustin.

"What's up Dustin?"

I was just wondering something"

"Sure what is it?"

"Do you like Mike?"

Will can feel his stomach taking a harsh drop on the roller coaster and he feels his face turn a bright shade of red.

"Wh- what n- no he's my friend, nothing more nothing less."

"cut the bullshit Will and don't lie to me i see the way you look at him-" Dustin slowly starts to make his voice louder so Will has to nudge him on the shoulder to remind him that El is still here. "Right sorry. Will you can talk to me you know I'm not going to judge you. You know that right?" Will gives a slight nod. "It's just i miss talking to you we used to talk about that sort of stuff before all this shit happend and our lives turned upside down." Dustin says giving will a slight eyebrow lift at his attempt of a joke.

"Okay, so maybe i like him but he doesn't like me back he is straight and i'm a fucking fag Dustin just like my father said!" Will half shouts at Dustin. " Will." "I AM NOTHING DUSTIN AND I CAN'T WRECK WHAT I ALREADY HAVE IF I CAN'T BE WITH HIM I"LL HAVE TO SETTLE FOR JUST BEING FRIENDS!"

 "WILL!"

 "WHAT DUSTIN!" 

"lower your voice your shouting."

Will looks up and see's everyone staring at him.

(Will's POV)

Shit i really didn't think that through now everyone knows mom, Johnathan and El-  Shit shit SHIT! she knows what will she do to me she could kill me I've seen her do it before. She could torture me to make sure what i did was bad. I would never see mom or Johnathan again. 

"Will? is that true?" El asks in her soft voice that's usually reserved for Mike.

"ummmmm." I try to think what i could say but before i could say anything Dustin chimes in. "So what if it's true El."

"uhhhh-"

"uh uh no uhhhh it's fine there is nothing wrong with it he wasn't going to say anything until you and Mike eventually broke up it's obvious that you don't like him like you used to El and if you ever so much as lay a finger on Will we. Will. Kill. You"

gees that was a bit harsh maybe life in prison not like that could stop her but to be honest i don't think they would do that they need her my thought are interrupted when El says.

"Will when we get home i need to talk to you." She shoots a glare at Dustin "Alone"

i feel my stomach drop as she utters those few words. Maybe she will kill me? No she won't do that your her brother she couldn't do that. Right?

(In the Sinclair car)

"Is  there an ice-cream shop in Lenora?"

"I don't know"

"What about a mall?"

"i don't know!"

"oo ooo is there a-"

"SHUT UP ERICA!"

"just a question."

The Sinclair children start to yell over top of each other as their parents exchange glances which says "Why did we have children again?" 

(With Robin and Steve)

"Robin guess what?"

"What?"

"Guess!"

"I'm not guessing Steve just tell me!"

"Oh come on Robin!"

"Fine, aliens have invaded earth and the only place that is safe is a small island that has yet to be discovered?"

"No. Don't be stupid."

"Just tell me Steve."

"Fine. You're no fun. I heard Vickie is coming to Lenora as well."

"Okay, that's good."

"Huh i thought you'd be more excited than that considering your time spent making sandwiches with her." Steve says a smirk begging to sprout on his face .

"Oh my gosh Steve how many times do i have to tell you this Vickie and I are just friends. JUST FRIENDS!"

"Friends with benefits." Steve responds slowly turning his back to Robin and placing his hands on his back moving them around pretending to be Robin kissing Vickie.

"God Steve grow up!"

"You know you  love me."

(In the wheeler car)

it is mostly silent in the wheeler car Holly is sleeping on Nancy's shoulder Karen is quietly talking to Ted and Mike is looking out the window clearly deep in thought.  Only to be interrupted by Nancy who breaks the silence by saying.

"So when I go to college I don't want anyone taking over my room. Got it?"

"Yup." Mike responds.

"mm mm." Holly sleepily replies.

"That better mean yes sleepy head." Nancy says to Holly as she rubs her hand on the half asleep Holly.

"So how long do we have to stay at the Byers for?" Ted asks Karen in a hushed voice.

"I think only a day just depends how many houses are available and if they are close to the school."

"I just don't like the way that Byers kid looks at Michael."

"Who? Eleven?"

"No the other one."

"Will?"

"Yeah that's the one."

"What do you mean by the way he looks at him?" Karen asks Ted visibly confused.

"He looks like he likes him or something just like a fag-"

"TED! Don't say that he's Michael's friend nothing else. Okay?"

"Whatever." Ted says as he goes back to focusing on the road ahead of him.
