Chapter 26

(Wills POV)

"Well there is one more thing." i say taking a deep breath and looking at El who gives me a reassuring nod. "But I just don't know how to tell you."

""Just get on with it." Hopper says finally swallowing his food.

"Well do you remember when i was possessed by the mind flayer and ever since then I've been kind of connected to the upside down?"

"Yeah you always get that tingly feeling on your neck ." Hopper says.

"Well this has something to do with that. I think since it's like a hive mind so the mind flayer was also Vecna and well Vecna is 001 and so he has powers i think i may have developed them too."

Why is no one talking? This is so awkward they are all just staring at me with a shocked expression plastered on their face, they look as if they've just seen a ghost or something like that.

"Well how can you be sure?" Mom finally says after a few minutes of a very awkward silence.

"Well i can do things like El can."

"Like what?" Hopper says, once again with a mouth filled with food.

"Make lights flicker, move things, find things and/or people."

Once again the room fills up with an awkward silence with just the sound of chewing and knives scraping against the plates.

After another minute or two I get up and put my plate in the sink.

"Where are you going?" Mom asks me as I'm about to leave the room.

"To brush my teeth Mike's going to be here in five minutes." I say leaving the room not waiting for a response.

I'm half way through brushing my teeth when i hear a knock at the door "COMING!!" I scream from the bathroom.

I run from the bathroom to the front door as fast as i can almost falling over while going around the corner.

"Hey Will!" Mike says enthusiastically.

"Hi Mike." I reply.

I notice Mike lock eyes with someone behind me and he suddenly tenses up. I turn around and notice Hopper death starring Mike.

"Should we go?" I ask.

"Yeah let's go." He says still staring at Hop.

I walk outside and close the door behind me snapping Mike out of whatever was happening. We spend most of the walk in silence until Mike says "Do you know what we should call this like a date, hangout or something else."

"Well I thought you wouldn't want it to be called a date because if we see someone we know that could be a bit weird."

"What would be weird about it?" He asks stopping walking.

"Well two boys going on a date, two boys who are meant to be just friends."

"I don't see anything wrong with that I mean there are plenty of gay people."

"Really Mike name one that isn't me or you."

"Robin-"

"ROBIN'S GAY!!"

How did I not notice that now looking back it's so obvious she's like the only girl who ever hangs out with Steve who he hasn't gotten with!

"Oh, yeah, you wouldn't know she told as all maybe 6 or 7 months ago." He says as he starts walking again.

I know I haven't but I just feel like I've said something wrong something just seems off with him today almost like he's hiding something from me. He wouldn't hide something from me we are best friends or maybe more than friends I haven't really figured that but out yet. I know he isn't embarrassed to be seen with me, a gay person, but it's like he just can't accept that he might not be straight
