“Be careful, poohead” Cass gives Rian a long kiss. Rian holds her tight around him, making it clear of how reluctant he is of letting her go.
Jack, Zack, Alex, and Jasey are talking in circle, saying their goodbye and making plans for when they’re back.
“I want a girlfriend too” Jack sighs, looking at Rian and Cass
“Aww poor Jackie is lonely” Jasey coos
“Well, you can just point your finger at some random girl in the gig” Zack adds jokingly.
“They would just attack me” Jack snorts, then walking away to Matt and his girlfriend to interrupt them.
“Well, be careful” Jasey turns to Alex when Zack trails behind Jack
“You too, don’t be too busy when I call you” Alex smiles, pulling Jasey into a big, suffocating hug.
“Don’t get STDs, we’d have to stop the deal if you get one” Jasey punches him lightly on his arm, earning a grin from Alex, “sweetheart, you have nothing to worry about” he winks before turns to Matt as he calls them to start making their way into the boarding room.
“See you soon, Alex, bring me something from there” Jasey gives him a light kiss on his cheek, “will do” Alex pecks her cheek as well before waving to her and follows the nagging Matt.
“I don’t get any kiss?” Jack pops, giving Jasey a quick hug, “see ya, Jack, be good” Jasey pecks his cheek. Jack grins happily before stop when he sees Alex’s stare, “uh oh” he mumbles before Jasey even realizes about Alex’s stare.
Cass and Jasey waves to them one last time before they disappears inside the crowd of people going inside.
“It’s going to be a long one” Cass sighs as they walk towards the parking lot.
“I thought you’d be used to this now” Jasey throws her stuffs into the backseat of the car. Cass shrugs, “I dunno, I suppose I should be. But it’s still hard and lonely without Ri” she flops on her seat.
“Well yeah, it’s a bit quiet and lonely whenever they’re away” Jasey pulls up on the driveway, “and they’re getting bigger now, they’d have to travel around a lot more” Jasey remembers when they had just started and how they just had to travel around the state, now they have to travel around the world. She feels like a proud mother.

Jasey rubs her eyes open before stretching and slowly sits down on her couch. She hadn’t realized she had fallen asleep on the couch; work has taken a lot of her energy, way more than she has. She makes her way up to the kitchen to make dinner. It has been 5 days since they left and it’s still feel pretty empty for her. Sure she didn’t see them everyday when they were here, but at least Alex would pop in from time to time. And at least she knew they were just a phone-call away. Now, they’re miles away and it’s starting to get to her.
Jasey scrolls down through her twitter feed and looking through the fan’s tweets. Alex asked her a few years ago if she’s willing to make an account to see what’s the fans been up to and so she made a fan account to keep up with them. She enjoys that though, the fans are really interesting and she had found tons of funny pictures and posts about the guys from their tweets. She would save the hilarious ones and send them to Alex; of course Alex loves those too. Especially the ‘Jalex’ ones, he always thought that it is ridiculous of the amount of photos where he kisses Jack that went viral. It has since becoming an inside joked to them.
Jasey just scroll on the feed while skim-reading it when suddenly she stumbles upon a tweet that almost makes her choked on her food
‘Look at Jack lol. He’s obviously jealous, they’re so cute tho, they should be together’
Jasey clicks on the tweet to see the picture attached to the tweet and she finds herself staring at a picture of Alex with a beautiful dark-haired woman embracing tightly. She scans the pictures when she chuckles involuntarily when she finds what the fans are saying, Jack’s on the background and he looked as if he was glaring at the girl angrily. She scrolls towards the bottom and finds replies for the picture,
‘When was this taken? Omfg Jack’s like get off my man you bitch lol’
‘idk, I think it’s about 2 days ago. IKR I ALMOST FELL DOWN MY CHAIR’
‘They’re cute tho, look at Alex’s face omg ajsydgvwqeduwqed’
Jasey stops reading then, closing her phone and continues eating while she feels her stomach drops from the moment she sees the picture. She doesn’t understand why as they had never set any rules and it’s perfectly fine if Alex falls for someone else, yet it feels like she has been punched on the guts.
Jasey spends the rest of the day flopping on her sofa, switching through the TV channels before settling on How I Met Your Mother. She giggles from time to time, which makes her feel definitely better. She hardly even realizes when her phone buzzes. Alex. She opens his text, “Skype now?”
Jasey opens up her laptop and turn the Skype on, calling Alex as soon as she sees that he’s online.
“Hi, Alex” she gives him a huge grin; damn she’d be lying if she says that she doesn’t miss him.
“JASEY!” he practically screams through the screen, his face alight with excitement, “you alright?”
“I am! And I see you’re more than alright” Jasey smiles, raising one of her brow at the confused-looking Alex, “huh?” is all that he manages to say.
“Alex got a girl,” she says in a little ridiculous singing voice. A realization crosses Alex’s face, “Jasey, it isn’t what you think it is” he calmly states
“She just wanted a hug and being the amazing person I am, I gave it to her and it was just a picture” he tries to explain
“Look Alex, it’s alright, what’s with Jack in the background anyway?” Jasey tries to lighten up the mood.
“Ah he was a bit cranky because of not enough sleep and she kept on talking to him” Alex chuckles.
They kept the conversation for a while before they have to each go back to what they were doing. For Jasey, she needs to sleep. She wraps herself inside the blanket, thinking about Alex’s explanation and how it made her feel better. Dammit, she thinks, why do I care so much?
