7. Aftermath

Jasey rubs her eyes and opens them to see a familiar place. Thank god it's Saturday, she thought. At least she can sleep in. The scent there is so familiar as well and it's so comfortable. Jasey turns her head and almost jump out of surprise when she sees Alex's face only 5 inches away from her. Jasey can see now why it's so comfortable, Alex wraps his arms around her and it is so cozy. He still sleeps soundly and she can't help but notice how good-looking he is. Jasey shakes her head, trying to remember how she gets there.

Her memory from last night is pretty fuzzy. All she remembers was when Meg gave her that evil drink and some people from her office dared her to take shots with them.

She takes Alex’s arms off her carefully not to wake him up and walk into the bathroom. The bathroom is kind of messy like someone threw up there. She washes her face before moving on to the kitchen to make some coffee and breakfast.

"You’re up already?" Alex shows up at the kitchen door, rubbing his eyes and yawns several time before sits himself on the chair.

"What happened last night?"

"You don't remember" he chuckles, "let's see...you drunk-call me, asking me to take care of your dog if you crash and some other random things you said. And then I came to get you and I arrived and you were snuggling with someone I don't know who. When I'm about to take you home you keep on talking about something you want to happen. I stopped listening after the first half an hour. When I took you here I have to rush you to the bathroom because you puked. And then you snuggled on me when you were about to sleep" Alex shrugs and takes the coffee cup from Jasey’s hands.

"I'm so sorry" her face is hot and she blushes crimson red. Well from what he told her it's pretty embarrassing for her.

"Don’t worry, Jack's just like you when he's drunk. I'm used to it" he grins

"Oh, you and him snuggle all night?" she laughs, "anyway, tell me about that someone I snuggled with"

"Brown hair, he wore glasses, tall" Alex cracks an egg to the stove

"Oh no..." she breathed weakly, feeling like fainting. It was Matt. She drunkenly snuggled with her boss. Crap.

"What?" Alex asks curiously.

"It was my boss,” she whispers.

There is a long silence before Alex cracks up and starts laughing, "oh that's embarrassing, my friend" he flips the egg skillfully.

“Shut up!” Jasey puts her head on her hands, her head throbbing with extreme pain. Alex peeks over from the sizzling stove, smirking slightly at her messy appearance, “bad hangover, huh”

“Yeah, make me some omelets, Alex!” she commands him before going to the bathroom cabinet, taking some pills and pushes it down her throat.

“Good god, woman, what happened to you”

Jasey looks around and find Jack leaning on the doorframe. Making a mocking face at her, “you could at least make yourself presentable for me” he grins haughtily.

“Good morning, Jackie” Jasey mumbles, pushing pass him to the kitchen where the delicious smell comes from.

“How did you not scream when you see that face?” Jack runs to Alex, pointing at Jasey.

“You two are the same horrible mess when you two wake up after getting wasted. You might scream at each other if you wake up to the sight of yourselves” Alex puts the omelets to the plates, giving a portion to Jasey.

“So, any story?” Jack sits in front of Jasey, stealing bits of omelet from her, earning hand-slaps from Jasey.

“She snuggles with her boss” Alex snickers, biting his own egg.

“Ugh” Jasey shakes her head in shame.

Jack laughs, “That’s a new low” he changes direction to stealing Alex’s omelets.

“It’s okay. It’s not that bad I think… All of my co-workers are head over heels for him, so in I’m lucky in some sense” Jasey wonders, biting her last bit of omelet. Alex looks at her, not smiling anymore. His stare is hard at her.

            Jack looks at the change, he peeks over, seeing the resentment in Alex’s expression.
