“Rian, get out” Jasey opens Cassadee’s bedroom door open with a loud bang. Rian stares at her from Cass’s bedroom floor with an incredulous expression, “what…” his mouth hangs open.

“Cass…” Jasey whimpers, Cass throws Rian an apologetic smile, pecking his cheek, “sorry, babe, you’ve had your share with me” she gives him a final hug before kicking him out of the room.

“Okay, Jasey, what is it?” she sits Jasey on her bed.

“Here is the thing… I have always been oblivious about those kinds of things; you know…feelings, sentimental things. It’s just not my thing. Even when I was a teenager I did not really know about those things. That's pretty much why I was so confident about this friend with benefits thingy. I mean…I love Alex…as a friend. He's the best kind of friend and plus we won't get lonely. Besides, as I've said to him before, there's no string attached between us, if he wants an out, if he finds someone he wants to be with, it'll be fine for me...” Jasey rambles messily, pacing back and forth in front of Cassadee.

“And then this beautiful harmony we had had to be messed up by him. He had to ask me about a boyfriend, and he was so serious…and that’s when everything seems wrong to me” she looks at Cass with bewildered eyes

“So…you’re saying that you might suddenly realize that you feel something more for him…” Cass can’t help but smirking at Jasey, “It’s normal you know. We are girls, we have this romantic side, err…sensitive side if you like it better” she corrects herself when she sees Jasey’s shocked expression when she mentioned romantic side.

            “I don’t know! I mean, it’s been smooth, I’ve never thought about it…why do I have to fix what isn’t broken…?”

“But is it really go as smooth as you’ve planned?” Cass smiles discreetly, “what about that little, tiny spark that sent you to me with that panicked face of yours?”

“Ah…” Jasey’s panic is increasing after Cass said that because she knows that Cass is right.

“I mean…it’s just…It’s…” Jasey caught herself being speechless, “It’s…unreal” she finally decides, “from everything I’ve been told, there is no such thing as those so called relationship” she sighed, finally deciding to sit down next to Cass.

“Tell me, is it about Alex?”

“Uh…no. I think what I am confused this can be applied to any men I might encounter later on in my life…” she turns to Cass, “What do you feel about Rian? What makes him so different?”

“Well…for starter…he’s nothing like any men I’ve known before” she smiles a small, private smile, “you know, when you’ve find that one special person, you’ll feel that tiny spark that will last inside you. That special mark they leave inside of you…” she continues, her smile turns into a dreamy smile.

“He is…what I need to make me happy as far as I am concerned. As long as he’s there to support me, I’ll be fine. It’s this feeling of acceptance, when you feel like you are no longer lost. You feel like you finally belong somewhere. It’s a relieve really…” she stops, assessing Jasey’s face, “it’s okay if you don’t understand, I don’t expect you to understand now. But know this, when you finally meet someone, what everyone have told you about this ‘so-called relationship is non-existence’ will be forgotten and you’ll understand everything I told you about” she pats her back.

“But Jasey…” Jasey looks up at Cass, “what is on your mind right now?”

“This entangled strings that in the end doesn’t make any sense at all. This images and thoughts that contradict each other, this weird thoughts…I don’t know, Cass. Maybe I just need to cool off…”
