— Drew Borden
Sitting in science class, I glance at the time. I got here extra early so I could talk to Ally. I tap my foot on the ground quickly, and keep my eyes on the door. I look up at the clock, and realize that there's only a minute left till school starts.
I've been giving Ally space by not calling or texting her, but she hasn't been at school for the past two days and I'm starting to get worried.
"Okay, class get your textbooks out, and turn to page two hundred sixty-eight," the teacher yells.
Where are you Ally?
-
After school ends, I rush out to my car. I swing the door open, and throw all my stuff in the passengers seat. Turning the engine on, I'm already backing out of the parking space. I drive like a mad man down the street, letting my fear get the best of me. On the way to Ally's house, I call.
First ring.
Second ring.
Third ring.
Fourth ring.
God dammit pick up!
H-hi this is Ally C-Christian. Please leave a m-message at the b-beep.
I hang up the phone, and put it in the cup holder. I come to a halt in front of Ally's house. I get out of the car, and walk up to the gate. I look up to the top of the gate, but it's too high for me to jump over. Also, it's a pointy gate.
I press the doorbell on the gate and a voice comes out of a speaker. "Who is it!?" Ally's dad howls into the microphone.
"A friend of Ally," I respond.
"What do you want?" he asks. I wonder if he knows it's me. I wonder if he knows what happens to Ally at school. I wonder if he would talk to anyone this way.
"She tutors me for science. I have some questions for her," I lie.
The gate opens and I run up to the door. He stands in the doorway. When he sees me his eyes fill with hatred and his fists tighten.
"Get off my property boy!" he hollers.
I stop in front of him, and put my hands up in surrender. "You invited me on your property," I recall.
His face fills with defeat and he steps aside. I walk inside, and he grabs a hold of my arm. He squeezes my arm so tight, that it might fall off. He says quietly through gritted teeth, "Lay a hand on me again and you won't be able to walk."
I nod as he lets go of me. I jog upstairs, and to Ally's room. I knock on her door.
"Y-yeah d-dad?" she sighs.
"It's not your dad," I respond.
After a minute of shuffling, the door swings open. Ally stands in sweat pants and a long sleeved T-shirt. Her face is filled with confusion and, for some reason, a hint of worry.
"Y-you're not m-my dad. W-what are you d-doing here?" she asks.
Stuttering?
"You weren't at school for the past couple days and I was just wondering where you were. Also, if you're okay," I respond, rubbing the back of my neck.
"H-how did you g-get in?" she asks, suddenly starting to get more worried.
"Your dad, and boy was it a pain in the ass to see him again," I chuckle. "May I come in?"
"No!" she quickly responds. "Just... w-wait here."
She closes the door in my face, leaving me standing in confusion. After a minute or two of shuffling, and rummaging, Ally opens the door again; wide enough to let me through. I gladly walk past her and glance around her room. It looks the same, expect for the fact that her bed is messy, and her backpack is laying on the floor with papers spilling out of it.
I sit on her bed and watch as she slowly closes the door, and turns around; leaning up against the door.
"Why weren't you at school for the past couple days?" I ask, suddenly. She looks down at the ground, and her shoulders slump. She looks defeated, and in pain, like a deflated bouncy house.
"K-Kate... s-she..." she stops to bite her bottom lip. I get up quickly, and I walk over to her. Wrapping my arms around her, she lets herself lean onto me. Gently, she starts to cry.
"Shh, it's okay. You just have to ignore Kate. She's not good for you," I mumble into her hair.
"T-that's the th-thing, I-I can't s-stay away f-from her," she sobs, pulling herself away to look into my eyes. With tears pouring down her face she whispers, "She threatened me, Drew."
I instantly hug her and whisper into her ear, "You're safe with me. I won't ever leave you."
"Theoretically or g-genuinely?" she asks, laughing softly at herself.
I smile, "Well I can't do it genuinely. Unless you want me to be your own personal stalker."
She smiles, "Theoretically it is th-then."
She walks around me, and to her bed. I turn around, and watch her as she sits on her bed; wiping her tears.
"You're a really g-good friend you know that?" she asks rhetorically.
Friends.

Lol friend-zoned. I don't know why, but I find this really funny, but also really evil. I'm sorry, but I gotta have some fun with this if I can do whatever I want. I can kill Drew off for all I care (of course I won't do that).
BTW I thought that was really cute that Drew went to Ally's house to check up on her.
I love that Drew is afraid of Ally's dad now even though he punched him. BTW I really hate Ally's dad.
Also, one more thing, my friend and I came up with a ship name for Drew and Ally. #DALLY
