—Ally Christian

I wake from the most comfortable sleep I've had in a long time. I feel warmth on my cheek and a rugged surface underneath my finger tips. I tilt my head up to see Drew. I sit up slowly and quietly, and look at him. I look at the area on his body that I was laying on, his chest. I move my eyes down his shirtless body, and my eyes land on his abs. A warm feeling hits me in my heart as I look as his face. He looks so peaceful, like a baby.

I reach over and place my hand on his cheek. I lean down and kiss his other cheek and whisper in his ear, "Why didn't you find me earlier?"

I sit back up and nearly have a heart attack when I find him awake. I place my hand over my heart, feeling it beat quickly.

"If you didn't hide yourself then I would of," he smiles, sitting up.

"W-what are you d-doing awake?" I ask, bitting my bottom lip.

"I woke up at your touch," He explains, and I blush. "What are you doing awake? Bad dream or something?"

I shake my head, "I wake up in the middle of the night sometimes."

He tilts his head and his face fills with concern, "That's not good Ally."

I shrug, "It's like my body wakes up before the nightmares can start."

"So you do have nightmares?" he asks.

"Yeah. Sometimes my body doesn't wake up before it starts and I experience them. When I have nightmares, it's not just scary, it's terrifying."

I wrap my arms around myself, remembering the most recent one about my mom. Drew scoots closer to me and pulls me into a hug. I lean on him, resting my head on his shoulder, enjoying the moment.

"I'm here with you no matter what," he mumbles.

    I smile, "I know."
