As I walk towards my locker, I see Drew leaning up against it. A smile spreads on my face as I start to walk faster. He opens his arms and I get into them, hugging him as he hugs me back.

"How was math?" I ask.

"A pain in the ass," he responds, and I giggle.

I open my locker and shove my textbooks in. Closing my locker, I look back at Drew who's staring forward. I turn around and watch as Kate walks toward us. I drop my head and suddenly feel nervousness fill my body. It slightly drains when Drew wraps his arm around my waist.

"Hey Drew," she says, ignoring me. "I'm having a party at my place tonight, wanna come?"

"No," Drew replies sternly.

"It'll be fun though. Only problem is, there are no skank's allowed," Kate laughs, looking at me.

Drew steps in front of me and looks own at Kate, "Look, the only skank in this hallway currently is you. Just because I turn you down doesn't mean you have to turn into a drama queen. I understand you're 'Daddy's Little Girl,' but you only get whatever you want from him. We have to go, but thanks for the invite."

I cover my mouth and try my hardest not to laugh when I see the look on Kate's face. She looks shocked and furious. Drew grabs a hold of my hand and starts to pull me away. Before looking away from Kate I whisper the words: And he's my boyfriend.

Kate lets out an angry screech before I hear her stomping behind us. Suddenly, my hair gets pulled and I fall back onto the ground, hitting my head. I open my eyes and see Kate kneeling over me. "You are a little slut do you know that? You're going to wish you hadn't done that," she spits quietly at me. Drew pulls her off of me and they start yelling at each other, but my head is throbbing so hard that I can't hear any of it. Many black dots appear my vision, and I try to stay awake, but it's no use. I let my eye lids drop.

-

I barely open my eyes, and blurriness fills my vision. I blink a couple times before my vision starts to clear up. I hear shuffling before Drew gets in my sight. I smile at him and I try to sit up, but failing when my throbbing head makes me lay back down.

Drew places what seems like little seeds in my hand and says, "Take this. I have some water for you... but I just realized that you need to sit up to drink water."

I shake my head. "I can drink laying down. I've done it before," I say with a raspy voice. I clear my throat and take the pills. I look around at the walls of my room before looking back at Drew. "How did you-"

"I used the bracelet on your arm. Your dad's not home."

"But...your car," I say slowly.

"I'll go pick it up from the school later," he explains. "Don't worry about anything."

Dang, I love this boy.

Whoa, lets erase that thought.

"Thank you," I say, smiling and grabbing his hand. He returns a smile and stands up. I pull on his hand slightly. "Where are you going?"

"I have to go home it's getting late," he says.

"How long was I asleep?"

"About 3-4 hours, but I understand. You were probably just tired. Also, you have a concussion."

I nod slightly, "I woke up three times last night."

"Nightmares?" he asks, sitting back down next to me.
