The Last Wish

Set in Skybound, Wishmasters. WARNING: Contains angst and non happy ending.

"All right we're getting close," Lloyd announced as the Raid Zeppelin moves closer towards Djinjago. "You have the venom Cole-I mean, Black Blood?"

"Sure do," Cole waved the venom in his hand. "But aren't you supposed to keep quiet, Mutt the Mute?" 

"Don't waste an ounce of that stuff. We may only have one shot here." Nya peered from the wheel. "I don't like this. I don't like this at all."

"What's wrong? I've never seen you so afraid." Cole walked over to Nya.

"I just hope Jay's alright." Nya gripped on the wheel tighter. "It's been so long, we don't even know if he's-"

"Don't say it." Cole put his hand on Nya's shoulder. "He'll be okay. We already lost too many. We're not gonna lose him."

"Alright it's showtime." Nya steered the zeppelin upwards. "I'll bring her in close."

Cole climbed up to the top of the zeppelin and tried his best to grab hold of the ship above him, Misfortune's Keep. He jumped and managed to grab one of its fins which he hold on to for dear life. He might be a ghost and nothing can harm him. But just as Nya said, they only have one shot at this. And also, they're flying over the sea. slip and he'll be gone instantly. 

Cole's too focused on holding the fin that he didn't realised the bottle of the precious venom slipped out of his hand. Luckily, he managed to catch it with his agility. To avoid the venom from slipping again, he slipped the venom in his coat and climbed upwards towards the ship. As soon as Cole's out of sight, Nya steered the zeppelin away to a hiding place. Nearby by a piece of land not far from Misfortune's Keep of course.

"What's taking him so long?" Nya looked upwards at Misfortune's Keep.

"Don't ask me. I'm not supposed to talk." Lloyd shrugged.

"So that's where the other zeppelin is!" A squeaky voice exclaimed. Suddenly, before N ya and Lloyd could do anything, a green serpentine jumped on their zeppelin. "Oh, hiding away so the new b-blood can steal a break eh?" He laughed. "Don't worry, I won't tell. What be your names?"

"Uh...the name's..." Nya cleared her throat. "...The name's Scallywag and this here is Mutt the Mute."

"Well, listen here, Mutt and Scallywag, because I'm only gonna tell you once how things g-g-go around here." Says the serpent. "At the top of the ladder, you got Nadakhan. After him, it's Flintlocke. Then Doubloon. Oh, no, no, wait. It's, uh, D-D-Dogshank. Then Doubloon, Monkey Wretch, me. And way down at the bottom of the ladder is you twos. So if you ever want to rise up that ladder, you got to first step on me. Oh, no, wait a minute, that does not sound right. Only everyone higher ranked steps all over me, so why would they?..."

The serpent went on ranting about why the higher ranked steps all over him. Unbeknownst to him, as his back faced the two undercover ninjas, the two had an interesting trouble. Nya's fake moustache is slightly askew and Lloyd is trying his best to tell her that by not speaking. Since his undercover name is Mutt the Mute.

"...Either way, careful using the word 'wish' around the captain." The serpent turn around to face the two again. "It's tempting, but w-w-wishes aren't free. I never used mine. But why would I? A pirate's life is great!"

"Ahem. Moustache." Lloyd muttered in the lowest volume possible.

"Hey! Y-y-you talked. I thought you were mute." The serpent walked towards Lloyd.

"Aye! It be a miracle! Arrrr." Lloyd tried his best pirate accent.

"They say you were born with no tongue, but look at that, there it is." Nya played along.
