Nya's P.O.V.
It felt weird leaving Jay. Alone, sad, depressed, confused. But I have to. After the incident with Queen Murtessa I honestly can't imagine a ray of hope that our relationship will turn out well. I mean it was never perfect at the start. Since the beginning, there's always at least one person who liked one of us - either because of confusion, power or actual crush! - and messed up our relationship.
I stared at the splattering rain and bolts of lightning around me. I'll have to land soon. But I have to make it to my destination. Luckily, I managed to get there without any problems. The Fire Temple. That's where we first met. Honestly when I first laid eyes on his beautiful blue orbs, it's been stuck in my mind since. I hopped off the dragon and it disappeared into thin air. I spotted a little trail made up from the rain running along the bridge. I crouched down and let my hands play with it as I recall our first encounter.
"'Ooo you like blue?" Jay croaked before attempting to clear his throat.
"He cannot talk but he wants to know if you like blue." Zane translated.
"It's my favourite colour." I answered honestly.
"Yes!" Jay croaked. There's seems to be a look of happiness and excitement in his face and in his tone.
At that moment, I'm sure and confident that he's the one. The look in his eyes, his humor, his kindness and thoughtfulness managed to impressed me. But now in our current situation I see no ray of light, hope or faith. Then the horrible memories of the love triangle butt in my thoughts. What if I made the wrong decision then? Was I meant to be with Cole the whole time and not Jay? Even if I was I would love to break that destiny. I'd pick Jay anytime. But what happens if you break free from destiny? Does something bad happens?
My thoughts are disturbed when I saw a silhouette of a dragon not far ahead. As it came closer and closer, I immediately recognised the familiar blue colour and sparks of lightning. It's Jay's elemental dragon. But what is he doing here? Showing off his new Yang?
"There you are Nya." Jay looked down from his dragon after it landed. "I was worried. I was afraid you'd get zapped by one of those lightnings."
"I've lived with you long enough to be resistant to lightning." Sadly not long enough for our love to strengthen. "Is that the only reason?"
"Well, there is something else I want to show you. Take my hand." He held out his hand.
I was expecting for him to scooch a bit and show off Murtessa and her brand new bling. Instead he wanted me to come with him to an unknown location to show me something? I was uneasy but I finally gained enough courage to take his hand. I refused to hold on to him though. I'm still feeling weird around him. So I hold on to the dragon instead. It's a good thing water and electricity mix.
The dragon flaps it's enormous wings once again and take off into the night. It felt like hours until it finally stopped. The destination is very peculiar indeed. The middle of the ocean? Why would Jay take me here?
"Don't worry I came prepared. Oh and watch out for octopuses." Jay handed me a set of diving equipments before diving into the deep. I followed him suit. Still confused why.
We dived deep into the depths of the ocean. Finally we entered a cave and swim upwards towards the opening above. We both take off our equipments and abandoned them on the shore as I followed Jay onwards. Pass some crystal tunnel and into a chamber of doors. Many, many doors. Jay did a little spinjitzu before returning to the door we came from.
"Isn't that the door where we came from earlier?" I asked.
"I know but trust me on this one." Jay smiled.
And to my surprise the atmosphere behind that door changed into something else. Another chamber with a glowing staff at the end. I was about to step ahead when Jay caught me by the wrist. I like it how he still looks out for me. He stepped on one of the tiles. He then ducked down as a dozen thorns fly towards at us.
He then motioned me to jump into the void under the tile. I was unsure about it but we made it this far. I have to trust him. He jumped in first and I followed right after. I was surprised with what comes after. A really, really long slide. What is this place? Why is it so mysterious yet fun. We hold each other's hand tightly so we won't lose each other while trying to stay in one piece.
We crashed on a pile of snow - that's a really funny moment - and found ourselves in the middle of a third chamber. This chamber is different than the rest. Everything here's made up of ice shards.
"Tadaa! W-We're here!" Jay held on to an ice shard, he's probably still dizzy from the ride.
"Jay, what is this place?" I asked as I stood up.
"Oh I haven't told you earlier? This is the First Spinjitzu Master's Tomb. And the place we're at right now is the ice labyrinth. Here I want to show you something." He grab hold of my hand and pull me to a nearby wall.
I expected to see our reflections in it but I saw something else. Well it is still both of us but...different. There's some wrinkles on our skin, my hair's longer and Jay got a beard, moustache and an eyepatch? What's this? What does all of this means?
"It's our future reflections." Jay explained as if he's reading my mind. "This is what I wanted to show you. Earlier, you said that you're afraid that this relationship might not work. So I want to show you a proof that it will."
I raised my hand and pressed against the cold surface. I'm speechless. I'm at loss for words. He did all of that just for me to see that it will all work out? He did all that for me? I guess he did say the truth about us ending up together.
"Now that you've seen the proof," Jay suddenly stand on one knee beside me. "Will you be my Yang again?" He shoved me the Yang medallion.
I'm honestly shocked. "I thought you gave that to Murtessa already."
"You seriously think I'll choose her over you? Nah, munces are not my type. But you are. You are beautiful, kind, thoughtful, smart and always there when I need you. And that's all I ever wanted. Please forgive my earlier action Nya." He begged.
I stared at his beautiful blue orbs, reluctant whether to take it or not. I stared at the future reflections once again. They look so happy. And from the looks on both of their eyes and current Jay's eyes, Jay's telling the truth. "Yes." I simply said as I take the medallion and pin it on my chest.
That look of happiness on his face. I feel so bad for abandoning him. He stood up, cupped my face in his hands before pulling me in into one of the sweetest kiss I've had in my life. If our reflections saw us now, I'm sure they'll be proud. Finally the ray of hope have come and gave enlightenment to my heart and feelings. Turns out, I did make the right choice. I do belong to Jay after all.
