The Uncontrollable Sea

Set after Crystallized (after Nya's back)

Jay stared at the wall clock for the umpteenth time. 02.00 AM. Where's Nya? She's been out for more than 2 hours. He caught her leaving at midnight but she said it's nothing to worry about and she'll probably come back soon. But soon's definitely not more than two hours. He made up his mind. He's going to find his yang.

He pull on his jacket and sneakers and hop on his motorbike. Even though the headlights are on, it's really stormy and dark outside, making it twice harder to find Nya. Since he don't know where to start looking for her, he used the find my phone tracker. He's sure Nya won't leave her phone at the monastery and his guess is right. The tracker shows that Nya's somewhere near the seaside. Why would she go there in the middle of the night?

Finally after some time of driving, he finally stopped at the seashore. He scanned the area for where Nya could be. After a few minutes he saw Nya's familiar figure on a precipice. She looks like she's about to jump down to the roaring sea below. He's just in time to grab her wrist and turn her around.

"What are you doing? Are you sleepwalking or something?" Jay waved his hand in front of her face.

"Let go Jay." Nya tried to wriggle free. "Leave me. Leave me alone."

"No I won't. I won't leave you until you answer my question. What are you doing? Are you okay?"

"Honestly, no I'm not. I feel like I shouldn't have come back to my real form. I should've been there right now." Nya glanced at the water below.

"Why did you even think about that Nya? We need you, I need you."

"I know, but ever since I'm back to my real form I've been nothing but a pain to you guys.  I'm the reason you guys are captured in Kryptarium. I should've been in those cell and get tortured not you guys. Not to mention how much my powers are going bonkers right now. Do you know why the sudden storm? It''s me Jay, it's me. I'm the one's causing it. And now I'm going to be the responsible one for all my acts." Nya snatch her hand back.

"What are you doing?" Nya tried to struggle free.

However, before she can jump in, Jay grab her again and hug her. "Do you remember the promise I made in the alternate timeline?"

"What promise?"

"To protect you with my life. And now I'm just doing my duties. Protecting you and me. Because I can't stand it when you're gone. I-I need to see you all well without any problems. It makes me hurt when you're hurt. So please Nya, re-sacrificing yourself won't do any better. For us or for Ninjago. So please, stay." Jay hugged Nya even tighter.

Nya's speechless for a while before nodding in approval. "I love you Sparky." She muttered. "Thank for caring for me."

"I love you too water lily." Jay muttered back.
