The next day
Winnie came over to check on her after James told her that Bucky started to bring the baby. Winnie looked all over the house, she stopped Lulu.
"Lulu? Where is Mira?" Winnie said
"Oh, she is out in the garden." Lulu said
"Thank you Lulu." Winnie said as she went towards the back door.
Winnie found her crying.
"Mirabella?" Winnie said
Mirabella turned towards her, "Oh honey.." Winnie whispered
She gently sat down and hugged her, Mira broke into tears. After a few minutes they pulled away.
"Talk to me honey." Winnie said
"Has it always been like this?" She said
"Sadly, yes and your mama should of warned you. She spent more time shielding you and your sister from seeing the monster your father could be." Winnie said
Mira looked down, "Mama always did try and cover bruises." She said in a low tone.
"I was forced to marry James at 17 he was 22 at the time. His father had a arranged marriage ready for us unbeknownst to me. He would beat me rape me just like Buchanan does to you.
"Why was I kidnapped if this was arranged?" She said
"Because it wasn't arranged. When you were born James wanted you to be betrothed to Buchanan but your father turned him down. It severed their alliance and James decided to get revenge." Winnie said
"Does it get better? Will he eventually stop hurting me?" She said
"I wish I could say yes but I'd be lying." Winnie said as she squeezed her hand.
Mira looked down and wiped tears.
