"You did well tonight." I said as we pulled out of the driveway.
"I'm sorry if I was a lot, I was kind of just going with the flow and I ended up going too far." She rambled off.
"You were more than convincing."
"Really?" Her eyes go wide as she questioned me.
How many more ways can I say she did an adequate job.
I watched with mid interest as her lips spread into a smile. She was gorgeous, that much was obvious. she was already stunning before I had her dolled up but all the changes that were made to her appearance made her look like she was made for me. everything about the way she looked made me remember and miss the feeling of blood rushing to my groin.
I would've devoured her by now.
"Although, I have to say...I don't beg, I've never begged for anything or anyone for that matter." She stopped smiling and I can only assume by her sudden stillness that I'd frightened her.
It wasn't my intention.
I don't want her frightened, I want her booming with a confidence that allows her to stand next to me. The fear in her eyes now would make her seem unworthy.
I hope she would bring the attitude she brought tonight to the kavlov's. they needed to fear her nearly as much as they feared me. they needed to see her glow under my attention and her connection to me. it was the only way they would take us seriously. If they see her as some weakling, a rag they can push around or step over. They won't respect her or her 'position' by my side.
Sargio is waiting for me by the door of my office and I rub my forehead knowing by that sour look on his aged face that something has gone wrong. Maybe even terribly wrong if he's looking to disturb me this late in the night.
Dinner had taken longer than expected.
Eric and Eva are always trying to draw out our little dinners but typically after the meal I'll be ready to leave whether or not they were ready to see me go. But they seemed to be enjoying their time with Anita so much that I felt that it would've been Cruel to tear them apart so soon.
"Evening sir." Sargio greets as he moves aside to let me open the door.
"Talk."
"The child- the baby... Marina Gomez's son. There was some trouble transporting him back to his father." Sargio explain clearly flustered, afraid of a wrath I'd never directed towards him. I've known Sergio since I was just a boy and never have I lashed out at him, even when the raging hormones of puberty had their hands around my neck.
"What kind of trouble?" I questioned.
"I'm ashamed to admit that this was my doing, my fault-"
"Tell me what happened." I insisted not wanting to hear all the groveling that would follow after that statement.
" I handed over the baby to Carmen because I had some prior arrangements that needed to be taken care of immediately. Carmen was caught up in a battle with some gang members and he ended up being shot near Kingsley road. The police found him and the baby in the car, they took the baby before he could be delivered to his father."
I felt a headache coming on at the detailing of an event that could've been easily avoided.
"When I give you something to handle, I do so with the assumption that I won't have to think about this thing because it will be handled."
