I helped Aaron set up in the room, Sargio walked us to.
It's far away from the main house and it appears to be where the rest of the guys stay.

"What happened to your face?!" Aaron asked the moment we stepped out of the car.

Thaddeus parked infront of the mansion and handed the keys off to the gardener to
Move the car to the garage wordlessly.

He didn't speak to me much during the drive either.
I gathered it was because he just had a gun held up to
His face.

I genuinely thought he'd be happy at the deal I just made for him.
I mean he's going to make billions off of smilies.
And the moment he makes the 5 million that Aaron and I owe him, we will truly be equals.

I thought he'd be happy.

Instead he looked distant.

I shake it off, of course he's happy.

"I got beat up and my face got fucked up, I got plastic surgery."

"He beat you up?" Aaron asked horrified at the prospect.
"What?! No, Thaddeus isn't like that. He's not gonna kick me in the face. He's more into the slow torture with surgical tools plus he'd never risk damage to my kidneys and heart and stuff I don't think."
"Sounds like a stand up guy." Aaron says with a sarcastic tone.

"Thanks for introducing us." Aaron said and I roll my eyes helping him properly fold his clothes.

"Yeah well, you kind of made meeting him inevitable when you started selling in his territory."

"Are you on his side?" Aaron asked suddenly.
"Of course I'm on his side, he's my Fiancé-Boyfriend- partner- whatever." I said in an irritated tone looking at him rough handle his jeans.

Aaron's jaw dropped, "What?!"

"Look I don't know what we are exactly but I know I'm on his side alright?" I explain pulling the jeans out of Aaron's hand.

He takes in a sharp breath and grabs my hand.
I look down at his fingers on my wrist.
The small tattoo of little orphan Annie on his finger, he'd gotten as a birthday gift for me once visible at this angle.

"What are you talking about?" He twist my body towards him.
I sighed and pull my hand from his grip.

"We broke up Aaron, obviously I still care about you, we were best friends before anything and I know we can be friends after-"

"Wait...what are you talking about? I went to Jail for you." His eyebrows furrowed in anger and his features morphed into something I'd never seen before.

"And I sold drugs to get you out of there, besides I never asked you to beat him up." I confessed the truth I'd never admitted, "I wanted you to stay with me Aaron, that's all I ever wanted. You felt like you had to be A man and attack him. I never asked you to." I gritted out tired of the guilt I felt about the whole thing.

"You can't." He breathes out. "You can't do this to me Annie." He reaches for my hand once more but I move away.
"I can't live without you." He tells me and I fold my arms.

"I'm not going anywhere Aaron but I'm with someone else now, I expect you to respect that. Obviously it'll take some time but you've got to move on." I couldn't help but feel bad for him. Even when I first broke up with him, he'd been unable to move on. He followed me around and never really left my side.

He'd respected my boundaries but he never moved on.

"But him? How?" Aaron asked and I shrugged.
"Why?" He added.
