"Can I get this?" Anita asked staring at me with those eyes that made saying 'no' impossible.
Not that there was any reason to say no.

"It's yours." I tell her for the fifteenth time today and she practically glowed as she giggled and picked up the hanger and put the clothes over Alexi's shoulder.

The tall man was covered in her previous choices.
While I held two bags from a perfume store and another bag with two wrapped up hand bags.

"I'm all out of hands." Alexi complains, I shot him a glare and he strengthens up and clears his throat.
"Pay for them and take them to the car. return for these." I instruct him.
He frowns and from the look of his posture it looks as if he wants to protest.
He knows better, so he walks away quietly.

Anita didn't initially seem like the kind of girl who liked things like handbags and jewelry but it wasn't that she didn't like them at all, she appears to just be peculiar about them.

"Doll, maybe we should stop for lunch." I wanted her to be distracted from the act of murdering Michael Sheldon.
I've gone to great lengths this past week to ensure that her pretty head is not left to dwell alone.

"We're almost done though." She whined, "I just need new slippers and then we can go."

New slippers turned into new sleep wear, which then led to lingerie.

"What do you think?" She asked looking at a black Lacey piece.
"I think it's an obstacle." I tell her seriously and she playfully rolls her eyes.

She leans into me and I had to resist the urge to pull her closer with all the bags in my hand.
"That's part of the fun."
She teases me by letting her warm hand slip up the side of my clothed thigh

"What's fun is feeling your skin under my palm... but if you must."

"You don't like lingerie?" She asked, "I thought men go crazy over those things. Aaron would literally go out of his way to buy a
Bunch everytime we went to the mall."

I clenched my jaw, feeling an irrational bout of rage at her mentioning 'Aaron' so openly.
Her ex boyfriend was on my list of targets, for a plethora of reasons... pure childish jealousy amongst them.

"I don't want to hear what Aaron and other men like. If you like it, you get it."

She grabs a couple different pieces all in vibrant colors.

"Are you angry with me?" She asks as I swiped my card.
"Why do  you think that I'm angry with you?"
The cashier offers her some of the bags but I take them as well and thank her.

"You put on this mask every time you hear Aaron's name. Like you're trying to hide from me."

"If you noticed, why didn't you stop?"
We headed towards the door, she opens the door for me and her bags.
"I don't know... he's been a huge part of my life for so long, I don't even realize that I'm talking about him until you get all stern in the face." She says furrowing her brows to imitate my 'stern mask' .

I had to mature on my own, so there are many moment where I must choose maturity rather than act instinctively towards it.
These was one of those moments in which I chose to be immature.

"How am I supposed to respond to you telling me your ex boyfriend likes lingerie...doll? Should I have grabbed a couple for you to wear for him?" I asked her, not wanting to let my anger fully slip through my words because I didn't want to scare her and crumble the little bond between us.

"I wanted to wear them for you... but I'm sorry, I didn't realize that's how it came out... I'm really sorry... forgive me?" She asked leaning her head on my chest, my heart melted and any remaining anger melted along with it.
