Bright white lights emitted from the scratches on Neo's body as he heals and removes the poison on his body. Luckily, despite being so close to the explosion, he was not that injured.

Neo generated his powers on his hand as a bright sparkling laser shot at the black roots that tried to attack him, but it was almost useless as it quickly regenerated like nothing happened. Neo was so focused on destroying the black roots that he didn't notice the pair of illuminating golden eyes watching him in the shadows.
Neo relied too much on his powers In it's absence, he is vulnerable. Ezequiel knew that healing and attacking at the same time would cost a lot if Neo's energy and leave him vulnerable.
And that is Ezequiel's plan.
He will weaken them to the point that they will have no other choice but to retreat.
Despite receiving the plot in Kieran's memories, Ezequiel still doesn't have full control over his powers. He is still very inexperienced. For now, his option is to weaken his enemies and hide within the shadows to wait for an opportunity to attack.

A notification rand on Ezequiel's ears. He glanced at the holographic screen before manipulating more roots and thorns to attack the protagonist.

"Sparkle sparkle love shield kyaa!" Neo began to surround himself with white translucent embers like a shield. The sharp roots were hindered from attacking. Neo felt an uncomfortable strain on his body from producing high amounts of energy to create a barrier. He calculated that the shield would last for at least 3 minutes or less. The shield cost almost half of his energy. Neo could feel his knees shake from exhaustion as he breathed heavily, trying to circulate his light energy.
An inhumane roar boomed from the sky, the ground shake and a harsh wind blew the dried leaves. Neo shot his gaze up at the sky, his eyes widening in shock as a chill went down his spine. He saw Ophio unconscious, he was being held by the large sharp claws of a black dragon.
"Ophio!" Neo's eyes widened as he saw the crown prince of Serpentes on the verge of death. Neo wanted to help his Ophio, but he had to dispel the shield.
The dragon descended from the sky and landed gracefully on the ground. The dragon carelessly threw Ophio's body on the ground like he is a rag doll. It's red gleaming eyes looked at Neo as if he was provoking him.
"Ryūji, that is enough." A deep, magnetic voice rang into the forest. The voice held the allure of a siren's voice. Comparable to the sea, the voice is bewitching and enigmatic however it also held it's danger. Neo couldn't help but held his breath as he listened to the voice like a sailor being lured by a siren.
A dark aura enveloped the area as a man appeared. Neo felt his body freeze as his heart thumped loudly against his chest. The man stood tall. His mere presence felt dangerous and intimidating. An air of dominance and arrogance hung over him.
Neo couldn't help but shiver at the way his golden eyes stared down at him. It made him feel unspeakable and shameful shameful things.
Neo didn't know if he should be scared or simping.
