It's been almost a week since that night

It's been almost a week since that night. Staying true to his word I hadn't seen nor heard anything about Thomas and his goons. Cas was still rightfully shaken up and had even told Alexander about everything that happened that night.

Apparently, Jace had just left the room to go to the bathroom when Thomas walked up to her, offering her a drink. The minute she felt herself getting dizzy and nauseous after only having two shots and whatever Thomas had given her, she knew something wasn't right.

She told me that I just so happened to message her when whatever drugs Thomas had spiked her drink with started to kick in. That's how she was able to message me so quickly.

And how I was able to find her so fast.

Turns out that Thomas was going to be the 'first to have her' or at least that's what Cas says she heard him say. Alex and I still took her to the doctors to be sure everything was fine. She made us promise not to tell her parents about any of this. Alex was hesitant about the idea of not telling her parents but agreed as long as we didn't go to any more parties.

I'm also grounded for the next two weeks for leaving Cas alone at the party. She tried to get my parents to change their minds but I didn't want her to. I told her that it was a well deserved punishment- even if it won't make up for what could have happened.

If something had happened to Cassandra I would've never forgiven myself.

Right now I'm getting ready for training before school, thankful that it's already Friday. Word had gone around pretty fast about what happened in the bedroom with Thomas and the others, but it wasn't Cassandra's name that's being spread around.

It was mine.

Apparently a few people had walked past the room right as I held a knife up to Thomas's throat. You should hear some of the wild theories they came up with about why I was threatening him.

The most common one was that I was jealous he didn't want to sleep with me.

Absolutely fucking ridiculous.

"You ready kiddo? "Alex's deep voice echoed through my room as he leaned against my doorway with his arms crossed. His navy blue tracksuit hugging his hulking 6'5" frame.

"Yeah." I grabbed my duffle bag that had extra clothes, a towel, wraps, shoes and a small first aid kit, flinging it over my shoulder along with my school bag.

At least three times a week, Alex will take me to the local gym and teach me self-defense. It's been just about every day this week though, mostly because we started taking Cassandra with us.

He spends most of his time helping her go through the basics while I just stick with the punching bag and cardio for an hour before joining them for weights.

"Good morning you two!" Aileen greeted us as we walked into the kitchen, holding three to-go bottles of protein smoothies. A mocha banana for me, regular vanilla for Alex, and chocolate strawberry for Cas.
