Let's Restart..? [Macaque x Monkey king]

Macaque's Pov

"Wait, what? Last time I couldn't even hit it..!"

"Totally--but since then you've had me teaching you! You're stronger now! Don't you feel stronger!?"

"I guess..?"

"Remember, you're the weapon. Give it everything you've got!"

...

"Here comes... Monkie kid." He said reluctantly, taking one last look at me before lunging towards the Kaiju

I chuckled, gotta admit, the kid isn't that bad.. Unfortunately it still isn't enough.

I watched, kinda amused, but after awhile the kid was getting tired, he started off alright, but now..? I don't know why, but I was getting annoyed Is this really Monkey King's successor..? His form is terrible, and his stamina needs work. Clearly that empty-headed mentor of his only worked on his strength. Either way, it's not my problem now. I thought, hopping to my feet and stretching. 

Now, watching this is boring, and not gonna lie, I kinda feel bad for the kid, all that power wasted. I thought, before pausing for a moment.

Well, it doesn't have to be a waste I smirked, looking at how that battle was turning on him

"HEY BUD, NEED SOME HELP?" I yelled, leaning against the cliff with a smug look on my face

"OH, NOO I TOTALLY GOT THIS!" He replied, being slammed into the ground, with his staff being only thing stopping him from being crushed

I chuckled at his sarcasm, kid's got jokes "ALRIGHT THEN" I smirked, walking down the mountain

"NO WAIT, I WAS KIDDING, COME BACK"

"Alright." I smirked, almost instantly taking down the beast

"YEAH! MACAQUE, THAT WAS AWESOME"

"Thanks" I smirked "You weren't that bad either, at the start at least..."

"Yeah.. I-"

"Welp!" I started "Unfortunately this is where we part ways" I said, placing a slightly sad look on my face before turning 

"Or! Uhm..."

I chuckled quietly at his response and smiled, still facing the other way. He really is just like his mentor.

"Maybe, ya know if you're free--you could come by and meet my friends? If... If you want to be friends..." He mumbled. "You could join the group! We're pretty cool people" He laughed

"Of course I'll be your friend kid" I smiled, placing an arm around his shoulder and walking down the mountain with him. "And, I'm available now, I'm open to meeting your friends!"

 "REALLY?" He said, his eyes practically sparkling while looking at me "Then c'mon!" He said, racing down the mountain

It's just too easy.
