Chapter 2

Summer POV: (chapter 2)

      I barley even processed what just happened, Ja'khi turning into a monster,Neveah Phillips death, and Dakota turning into one of the monsters. All I wanted to do was go back to before all of this occurred. I Can't believe this happened, my friends aren't in control of  themselves anymore. I walked towards Dakota. She just gave me a glare. She didn't try to hurt me though. That surprised me. I turned around to the rest of my friends crying except Nevaeh Fox. She was texting Greg to see if he was okay. I decided to go on my phone and check if anyone has reported anything. After a couple of hours everyone went to sleep,even Dakota went to sleep. I woke up to see at least 10 zombies at the door. Ms. Smith, Ms. Bean, Kain, Bruce, Jagory, Ms. Kasey, Ms.Salls
, Andrew, and Alycia. I decided to go try and cook some pizza or something. I burnt it a lil bit till it was black. I bit it and it was so crunchy and  burnt so I threw it at Dakota and she went to town on that pizza. I got some milk for Dakota to drink.it was a lil chunky but she still drank it. She went back to sleep. I woke up to hear Someone crying. I think it was Nevaeh F 'cause she was worrying about Greg. I went into the Kitchen to see Selah eating some cereal. I looked over at Dakota seeing she wasn't where we left her. I asked everyone where she was, they didn't know. I heard a noise coming from the bathroom and went to see. I went inside to see Dakota looking in the mirror,tear marks were on her face. "At Least Dakota isn't too far gone". I thought to myself

It was day 2 of the zombie apocalypse. I decided to go see what Dakota was doing. She was drinking water from the water fountain, it seems everyone has adapted to her not being tied up even though it's barely been a day.Ethan was watching Netflix with Selah and Nevaeh Fox  was still trying to reach Greg. Honestly she should just presume the worst has happened, that he's one of the monsters. Selah and Ethan's Netflix show went off and that's when Selah got up and asked for everyone's attention. Nobody looked at her. "I SAID,CAN I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION." She shouted. Everyone finally turned their heads in her direction. "Alright guys,I think I have an idea for a vaccine." Selah said. Now she had everyone's full attention. "I noticed that Ja'khi began to act in that way after Neveah Phillips spilled the messed up chemical combination onto him. So maybe if we find out what Ja'khi put in the combination we can stop this mess."        "But how are we going to find out what he put in it? It's not like we can get him to stay still and tell us, he would try to hurt us and you know it" I said.    "Did you notice how Dakota isn't tied up and she hasn't tried to hurt anyone?"  "Mhm."    "Well that's because she was able to remember who she was, I decided to untie her and see if she would remember herself if she saw herself in the mirror. Of course I had difficulty with that because she tried to bite me as soon as I untied her."    "I get it, We need to get Ja'khi to get out of his zombie state so that we can communicate with him." I said.
