Ethan's POV
Me and Ja'khi went into a Kindergarten class to look for anything we could find to defend ourselves.
I told Ja'khi to search the right side of the room while I search the left side. The only things I could find were some rulers, but those wouldn't do much damage. I also found some sharpened pencils but those also wouldn't do much damage to a zombie. I turned around to the right side of the room to see if Ja'khi had found anything. "Ja'khi have you found anything yet?" I asked. I received no reply. I looked at Ja'khi, he began to slowly turn around. He gave me a glare that sent chills up my spine. "Ja'khi..?" I said in a low tone. Next thing I knew Ja'khi had tackled me and bit my arm, hard. Blood was spilling everywhere. "JAKHI STOP" I shouted. But he didn't seem to hear me. I did the only thing I could think of to get him to stop. I took the sharpened pencil and stabbed him in the eye with it, after that he let go of my arm. I pushed him off of me and stood up, holding my wound with my other arm to attempt to stop the bleeding. I tried running out of the classroom but before I could make it I passed out, Ja'khi being the last thing I saw.
Jakhi's POV
I didn't know what was going through my head when I bit him, I just couldn't control myself.I guess I was hungry, I haven't eaten a human in a while. After I saw him pass out, I ran out the classroom to go get someone but I realized, if I told them then they would think I'm more of a monster then I am now. I didn't know what to do so the only solution I could think of is to hide, to hide where they wouldn't find me. I heard someone, so I ran and hid in the teacher's office under the desk. I saw a white pair of shoes walk in the door "Summer" I said to myself. She saw Ethan and shouted "GUYS COME HERE ETHANS PASSED OUT!"I felt a huge wave of guilt come over me, Everyone rushed in the room. "WHAT HAPPENED" Marleen screamed. "I don't know why you expect me to know?" Summer replied. Till everyone realized the huge bite mark on his arm. "guys...I think that bite mark was from Ja'khi." summer said in a shaky tone. I felt a heavy amount of guilt after she said that,I never wanted to hurt my friends.I don't know why I did it. Summer checked his pulse just to see if he was still alive
