I keep staring at the body. I dropped the girl that was in my hands. The scent that was coming from the body was unbearable, It was getting hard to stop myself from eating the corpse. But then I felt something tugging on my pant's leg. It was the girl, I could hear quiet sobs coming from her. I finally snapped out of my trance and picked up the girl and ran towards the fence. I jumped over it and headed towards the playground. I finally arrived, it took me only about 4 minutes to get here. I look around to see Ethan knocked out tied to a pole.
Marleen POV
I turn around to see that Ja'khi had came back and a child was in his arms. Wait.. that's not just any child, that's river.. "River!" I shout running towards Her as Ja'khi puts her down. I hug her tightly. I hear everyone say "aww." But I just ignore them and continue hugging my sister. "where have you been?!" i asked with tears slowly going down my face "i w-was in t-the class.." river said while sniffing; "then that b-boy came and saved me '' River looked at jakhi. I ran over to jakhi and hugged him tightly "thank you..so so much jakhi.." I whispered in his ear he put on a small smile and answered with "any time '' River went over to everyone else and gave them a small hug. "Wait-'' river said she ran to jakhi and hugged him "thank you for saving me mister!" We all giggled. Ja'khi had a neutral expression,but you could see he was happy. river grabbed his hand and ran across the playground and made him sit down with her on the ground. "Looks like river has a new favorite" summer said "i guess so" I said with a laugh. We continued to discuss what we are going to do next.
