Nevaeh pov (Chapter 16)
"Selah you good?" I ask. Selah points to Ja'khi and Dakota. "What's that on their faces...?" Summer asked. "I'm not sure... but I have a gut feeling that it's blood..." selah replies in a shaky tone." After selah says that, we all just stand there. Deciding what we should do. After about 2 minutes of sitting in silence, summer suddenly says " maybe its because of our food shortage."
"that could be possible." selah replies. I walk over to Greg to wake him up. "Whattt." He says in a sleepy tone which made Nevaeh wake up. I quickly cover his mouth. This made him realize that there was a situation. He slowly got up and looked at Dakota and Ja'khi. "What's going on, why is there blood on their faces..?" He asks. I whisper everything to him. His face goes from shocked to calm. He bends down and grabs a stick. He pokes Ja'khi with the stick, Ja'khi doesn't wake up. Greg then hits Ja'khi in the nuts with the stick. "Agh!" Ja'khi shouts. Everyone takes a step back. Greg pulls me close to him. Ja'khi gets up and walks towards Greg. "What the hell is wrong with you?!" Ja'khi growls at greg. Greg raises his stick and attempts to knock Ja'khi out but Ja'khi catches the stick and breaks it.
Ja'khi looked feral in that moment. The blood around his mouth, the slight veins showing. It sent a shiver down my spine. "Ja'khi calm down." Summer says. Ja'khi seemed to relax. "Can someone explain to me what's going on" Ja'khi asks.
