Zombie Outbreak

Chapter 22

Ethan pov:

I woke up to see the group of humans and zombies standing together, they were discussing something. I attempt to get up but I realize that I'm tied up with rope. So I just sit there, observing my surroundings. Until I see a small human girl walk towards me. Even though I was starving, I didn't want to eat or even hurt her. Honestly I didn't want to hurt anybody, I just can't control myself.. I feel something being placed on my head. I then remembered that the girl had a flower in her hand, she must have put it in my hair. As cute as it was, I could only focus on how I was going to get myself untied.. "wait, I can ask the girl." I thought to myself. I signal the girl to come closer. She does. "Untie my ropes." I say in a barely understandable groan. The girl goes behind me and undoes my ropes. When they finally come loose I stand up. I see that the male zombie spotted me.

Ja'khi POV

The group was discussing what we were going to do about the food situation, until I saw something move in the corner of my eye. I look in that direction to see Ethan off the ropes and River right next to him. When bybyp saw River next to him I froze. I slowly walked towards Ethan. This caught the attention of the others. I hear Marleen shout "RIVER!" RRiver begins to run towards Marleen, Marleen picks up River so she's not near Ethan. I continue to walk closer and closer to Ethan. When I get close enough, I tackle him to the ground. I didn't realize Ethan was this strong, he was almost able to get out of my grip but I was still able to keep him held down. "Guys get the rope!" I shout. As soon as I shout, I feel a sharp pain in my arm that makes me let go of Ethan. I look at my arm to see a bite mark, Ethan had bit me so I could let him go. When I let go of Ethan, he took off running into the forest. "Damnit." I heard Marleen mutter under her breath. I look at my arm to a deep bite mark in my arm with blood dripping down. "Shit" I mumble to myself holding my hand over the bite mark to slow down the bleeding. I let out a groan due to the pain. Marleen gave me a small cloth and some tape to stop the bleeding for now at least. I look at River hugging Marleen with a terrified look on her face. It started to get dark so we set up a Lean for us all to sleep in. Me and Dakota stayed outside, Nevaeh and Greg was cuddling, Selah was already sleep, and Marleen was making some edits while River is sleeping next to her. "You okay?" Dakota asked me looking dead at my eyes. "Yeah"I said in a low tone.
