CHAPTER 2

Alex

My stuff have been moved to the last floor in the building it's been almost a month since I became alpha and everything was going smoothly, not only did I have shit tone of work but I had to find someone to write stuff for me.

"Harley" I called through the link, Harley was the girl Nadine and I went to school with. Her and her mate Jackie live in this pack, we weren't that close and we're sure not that close today but they're the people I trust.

"Yes alpha?" I heard her say back in the link, I haven't talked to her since Nadine left and I felt bad because she was trying to reassure me and comfort me but I was pushing everyone away.

"Come to my office, there's a matter I need to discuss with you" I said taking off the blindfold, she replied with "yes alpha" and the link cut off.  A few minutes later I heard footsteps getting closer to the door followed by a soft knock.

"Come in" I heard Harley walk inside the room, I could sense her nervousness and uneasiness but I didn't want to make it worse for her. I sighed and pointed to the chair asking her to sit.

"You act like you can still see" she said hesitantly, I smiled and nodded my head. I closed my eyes even though there was no change, it was dark either way.

"Harley, I know we haven't had a proper conversation since high school but..." I put my hand in my drawer and took the papers I had there, I handed them to her.

"Since I can't see, I'm going to need your help with office work. You're the only one I trust" I said with a sigh, I was frustrated. I hated how I got used to doing everything myself that the simplest things like reading or writing was harder than fighting someone.

"That would be an honor alpha" she said with a tone of excitement and happiness. I smiled knowing she was happy to help me with this.

"Can you read me what's written on those first" I asked leaning back on my chair, she cleared her throat and I heard her flip the papers around.

"Okay, so the first one is a some papers that need to be signed. You know bills and everything" she handed me some of them, I grabbed a pen and went to bottom of the paper and signed.

"This one I'm currently holding, is an alliance request." She said, but I cut her off before she could start reading any of the requests.

"Leave those for later, read me anything that you think is urgent or more important" she stayed silent for a second then I heard her shuffle around with the rest of the papers.

"This one is from...and international pack? What is even that?" She asked curiously, I moved my hand for her so she can continue reading.

"We want to congratulate you on your title Alpha Alex, my name is Rogan and I'm the Alpha and Dean of the international pack. We are multiple packs from different countries and continents, we are allies, we help and protect each other but we also have one school and one educational system. We also provide wolves who don't have packs with a home and the education they need until they reach the age for work. So we invite you to visit our international pack, if you accept my dear alpha. And if we match you expectations we'd like you to join us" Harley finished reading, giving me a phone number and an address. I was still leaning back on my chair with my arms folded in front of my chest.

"What do you think Harley?" Her heart skipped a beat like she wasn't excepting me to ask for her opinion. She cleared her throat to speak and handed me the letter.

"I think it's a pretty interesting deal in my opinion, it'll make our pack much stronger and protected. But you're the Alpha after all, and it's your decision." She said sounded as confident as she can, I nodded and smiled looking for a piece of paper, I handed her it and the pen I was holding.

"Write this...Dear Alpha Rogan, I've read your letter and all about your international pack. In all honesty, I'm interested in learning more about it. I'd like to hold a meeting with you and other pack leaders in a two days period. Sincerely, Alpha Alex."  When she was done writing she handed me the letter back so I can sign it.

"Thank you Harley. Since I don't trust anyone but you and Jackie, I need one of you to stay here. While the other one accompanies me to this so called international pack." I said as we both left my office, we went to the elevator and I went to touch my face that's when I realized I forgot my blindfold. I groaned and thought I'll get it later, I had an extra one back in my room.

"When are we leaving?" She asked curiously, I stepped out of the elevator and walked to the living room where I felt other pack members sitting.

"Alpha" they said in union and out of respect, I nodded and walked to the couch sitting down next to someone.

"I have a meeting with an ally pack in two days, I'm gonna leave Jackie my delta in control. So I'd like everyone to listen to what she says and respect her like you respect me" I said to those in front as well as the pack link, I heard everyone agree and swear they'll respect Jackie untill I come back.

"Now, I don't know how long the trip will be but as soon as I'm done. I'll be back, Harley and I will be leaving tomorrow along with two other pack members" I explained to them, I heard someone take a few steps closer and by their smell I knew who it was.

"Yes Jeffrey?" I asked, he cleared his throat and I sensed him move his hand forward. I smiled and took his hand to shake it, I could still sense a bit of anger and embarrassment inside him but it wasn't a lot.

"I'd like to apologize to you Alpha and I'd like to prove my loyalty to you by going with you to this trip." He asked respectfully, I stood up and patted his shoulder. I still don't trust him but his father was a loyal beta to Torres and I'm going to see if Jeff is like his father or not.

"Good, be ready at 8 tomorrow morning" I brushed past him and made my way outside, it's been a while since I shifted and I felt like doing so before our trip tomorrow.

My black wolf ran through the large trees, cold breeze brushing against our fur. You might ask how my wolf could still see, only my eyes were blind but his were still functional. He could see but I couldn't so even if I shift to my wolf form everything is still black but he could see his surroundings like any normal wolf can. If that makes sense.

I hope this meeting with Alpha Rogan will go as expected and we can gain such strong ally, this is the beginning of a long journey and I was ready to face it. Hopefully there will be no complications.

So everything is going slow and smooth, she's gonna go to this different place to meet with Rogan and nothing bad is gonna happen....lol hopefully. Anyways, more drama will come as we proceed with more chapters.
