We were escorted to our rooms, I made sure we were all close to each other so if an emergency happens it'll be faster to get to each other. I was seated on my bed while I felt the energy around me, I meditate to keep my brain working at its full capacity.
I started memorizing every room, every turn and hallway we walked in. How many stairs and steps to Rogan's office and the exit door.
'I don't know what's happening to me' I heard my wolf say in my head, he was pacing around and it was making me dizzy.
'stop pacing Vee you're making me nauseous' I said trying to focus, he growled at me and I just rolled my eyes at him. He was still mad I treated Nadine badly when we were young, and he blames me for her departure.
'I said, I have this weird feeling and I don't know why' he said sitting down, he laid his head on his paws and closed his eyes. I sighed and rubbed my face in frustration, I've been feeling uneasy since we got here and I as well don't know the cause of this uneasiness.
'what is it Vee? Is it someone?' I asked standing up and making my way out of the room, I had a meeting with other pack leaders. I was dressed in a beige silk button up shirt, grey trousers and a black coat. Harley has helped me pick this outfit yesterday, and she said that I look hot so I trust her taste.
'yeah someone...here in this meeting.'
Harley and the two other pack members were waiting for me in front of my bedroom door. I said good morning and we all made our way to the meeting room. I was wearing the blindfold instead of my sunglasses.
A/N: if you know Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen, you'd know that he wears a blindfold. That's what Alex uses to hide her eyes. I'll put a reference picture at the end.
"We're meeting half of the leaders, the others couldn't make it" Harley said while Jeffrey pushed the meeting door open, I heard whispers and questions asking who I was and why I had a blindfold on, or if I was really blind.
I took a seat first and I heard Harley, Jeff and Dustin make their way next to the other betas on a different table.
"Alpha Alex, it's nice having you hear. I'd like everyone to introduce themselves, because Alpha is blind and won't be able to know who's who if I only state names" I rolled my eyes at Rogan's words, I folded my arms in front of me and waited. They think, I'm weak now, I could feel their energy. They feel superior because they can see, they think I'm an easy target.
"My name is Hector, I'm the Alpha of the western packs." A manly voice said, when he moved his arm around I could tell he was a muscular guy probably bold too.
"For a muscular guy, you sound nervous" I stated with a smirk, I heard chats again as they asked how I could see under my blindfold which means I was correct.
"I'm Susana, I'm the alpha of the northern packs. Great to have you here Alpha Alex" the woman sounded in her late forties, she smelled of two scents so she probably was either mated and has kids or has two mates. I smiled and nodded my head, I could hear her heart beats increase and I smirked internally.
My head turned to the person seated next to me. From their scent I could tell it was a woman, the odd thing is this scent was mixed with a very familiar scent, like a human scent.
"My name is Tia, I'm the Luna of the southern packs. My mate couldn't make it for this meeting, so I'll be making decisions on her behalf." She sounded in her mid thirties, and the name Tia was very familiar I just didn't know when or where I heard it. I think she got nervous because my head was turned to her for too long, I cleared my throat and decided to ask her something.
"If you don't mind me asking Tia, were you human before?" I asked curiously, her heartbeats increased and I could tell she was getting nervous or anxious on how I knew this information.
"My mate and I were human, we were attacked by rogues. We later joined a pack, where my mate had to fight their abusive alpha and won, that's how we became leaders" she explained, I knew everything she said was the truth just by her tone. I smiled and nodded again.
"Nice to meet you Tia" I gave her my hand to shake, I could tell she was smiling as she shook my hand.
"Do you live in the human world?" I asked again, my question were making someone else uncomfortable and that someone else was Hector.
"Yes, my mate has a partnership with a human company. It's going very well so far, only the CEO knows about us, since her and my mate were friends before this all werewolf thing happened, as for her family and the rest of the workers they think we're just normal business partners" she said confidently, she seemed happy with what she got and I'm glad her partner was doing a great job in the human world.
"Why are you so interested though?" She asked back, I sighed and stood up. I shook Rogan's hand and gave Susana my hand as well, when I reached Hector he didn't sound too happy to shake my hand. Insecure much...
"You just have a scent on you that's oddly familiar. Since I went blind my senses got stronger, so even if you met someone a week ago and you took a bath I'd still be able to smell them on you." I explained to Tia, she was about to say something when I felt an object coming at full speed towards my head. I caught it before it could break my teeth and sighed.
"Really?" I asked annoyed, I heard a raspy laugh coming from Levi and I rolled my eyes. I felt the glass bottle in my hand and sat it on the table.
"Nice reflex mate, so you're like a bat right? You see echo and stuff" she said in her accent, I nodded agreeing with what she said. I turned to face Tia again with a soft smile, she sounded like a nice woman and like she was too nervous to be here.
"Again, pleasure to meet you Luna Tia" I said taking her hand and putting a soft kiss on her knuckles, I was still charming and the blindfold just made me look mysterious.
"The pleasure is all mine" she replied softly, I was about to leave when Vee told me to ask Tia something. He wanted to know the source of that scent. He needed to know for some reason, and I was curious at his odd behavior even though I wanted to know who was the owner of that human scent.
"Do you want my men and I to drive you back to your pack? I could meet your mate and maybe we can become friends" I asked with a smile, I could hear her heartbeats fasten as she thought about my offer. She sighed and I heard her stand up from her seat.
"That's very gentlewoman of you, I'd love that" the woman said with a hint of amusement. I smirked and fixed my posture, I faced the other leaders and bowed sarcastically.
"I'll be back my dear leaders, don't be sad. I'm just making myself comfortable" I mentioned for Harley and the guys to move and we made our way out of the academy.
"You're very intimidatingly charming Alpha Alex" the Luna said jokingly, someone opened the door to her car and we all got inside. Let's see if Vee could let me rest after he finds out the owner of the mysterious scent.
"I hear that a lot"
