CHAPTER 7

This morning, we arrived earlier here than expected so we stayed at a hotel. I couldn't sleep so I decided to go for a run that's when I caught her scent. Her beautiful strawberry perfume that I admired so much, my whole body was heating up and my heart was out of control. I had to get closer, I had to get to her, my body needed her close.

My wolf was going crazy, he couldn't control himself either. Vee was running around the forest fast until he saw her car. I could feel the vibration of the engine as the shadow of the car moved. But suddenly it went into a halt. I could hear her heart pick up its pace, she was scared.

'mate, in trouble' he said worried, I quickly linked Harley and told them where she was. Vee has described the place to me, I hid behind the trees and watched over her until Jeffrey got there. I could tell she was scared of him, she felt uneasy so I told him to be nicer.

Vee growled at Jeffrey when he went to hold Nadine's hand so he quickly pulled it away and made an excuse for it. I felt her car drive away, I ran back shifting before leaving the forest, I hid some shorts and a shirt. I put my blindfold and the rest of my clothes and went to the room to take a shower.

I was doing everything so fast, showering, dressing. Harley made sure to remind me to bring my stick with me because it was a human company.

I was at the company before her, but only a few minutes later I could smell her scent, that she has arrived, her scent was literally everywhere that I didn't know where exactly she was in the building. I was making my way towards the meeting room when someone ran out to the elevator and bumped into me.

When her soft skin met mine I felt my body shiver, she was so close. Her scent was filling my nostrils, I was barely holding myself from pushing my face in her neck. I caught her before falling down and pulled her against my chest, she was still so small because my chin was on top of her head. She fit so perfectly under me, I wanted to hold her tighter and tell her how much I missed her. But I couldn't, I had to act like a human, she can't know that I know who she was just yet.

'mate, so beautiful' Vee said while wagging his tail intensely, I felt so helpless. I wanted to see her face, her eyes, her long hair, if she cut it or not.

'describe her to me Vee' I told my wolf,

'she still has her long hair that we both like, she's matured more. Higher cheekbones and lighter eyes, she's wearing a black skirt that reaches above her knees with a white shirt.' I tried my best to imagine her the way Vee described her to me. Slowly her image started to appear in my head and I couldn't help but smile.

I finally found my voice to speak and asked her if she was alright and if she can guide me towards the meeting room. I felt her move towards me fast, her heart wanted to rip out of her chest, I knew she realized that I couldn't see and I was sure all different types of questions were running through her head.

"Wait let me open the door for you" I could tell there was a door but I just nodded at her and felt her move away, my wolf whimpered in my head when her warmth disappeared. She opened the door quickly before walking back to me, honestly.... being blind isn't that bad, specially when she's literally taking care of me and she's really close. This is so nice...

'really?' Vee asked unamused with my thoughts,

'what? It's not that bad' I replied as I felt her hand hold mine and pull me inside the room.

'she's holding my hand?! No way! Dude her hand is literally on mine and it's so soft' I panicked inside my head but on the outside I just had a silly smile.

In the meeting room, I smelled one werewolf and that must be Beth while the rest were human, I caught Kali's scent and I let go of Nadine and walked towards her completely forgetting that I have to act blind. I stopped and turned my head to where I thought Nadine was still standing.

"Can you show me my seat please?" I asked with a silly smile while tilting my head to the side, I heard her heartbeats pick up and I could tell she was nervous. I smirked mentally knowing that I still had this affect on her.

When I sat down she tried to move away but I grabbed her wrist and gently pulled her down to my level.

"Thank you love" I whispered, her breath got caught in her throat and I smiled innocently when her heart wanted to break out of her ribcage, if I still had my sight I would probably comment on her red cheeks to make her mad. I let go of her hand and cleared my throat.

"Morning everyone" I said folding my stick and put it on the table, I felt Nadine take a seat next to her mother, these sunglasses were annoying me. I regret not putting my blindfold, I sighed and took them off, I could feel a pair of eyes watching my every move and from how fast their heart was beating I could tell it was Nadine.

"Miss Jones, I see you've already met our chief of business department. Miss Martin" I heard Beth say casually, I pretended that I didn't know what she's talking about. Like I didn't catch her scent from miles away.

"Really? Nadine? I'm so sorry, I didn't recognize your voice" I said turning my head her way, I could feel her move on her seat nervously before clearing her throat.

"I- I didn't speak a lot...for you to recognize me."  She said in a soft tone, my goddess she sounded so soft and I couldn't help but smile. She was still such a sweetheart and all I wanted was to hear her beautiful voice every second of the day for the rest of my life.

"That's alright, we'll have more time to talk later." I said turning my head away, we spoke business the rest of the meeting, I only heard Nadine's voice a couple of time when they asked for her opinion on something. My wolf, well, he was just happy we were in the same room as her.

The door opened and I smelled Harley and Jeffrey's scent, he walked closer to me and leaned down closer to my ear.

"Alpha, we smelled rogues around this territory we have to leave" he whispered, I nodded grabbing my glasses and put them on. I stood up and smiled at the people surrounding the table.

"There's an emergency, I'll have to leave. Beth, it might also concern you. I'll see you tonight at your house" I said in all seriousness, I could feel Beth get up and make her way to me she gave me her hand and I shook it.

"Rogues" I whispered only for the both of us to hear, she squeezed my hand telling me she understood what was happening.

"Mrs Martin" I nodded at Kali, then faced her daughter. I wish I was able to look in her beautiful eyes, and admire them.

"Nadine...It was nice to se-...." I chuckled slightly because I was gonna say 'nice to see you again'.

"...you get what I mean" I said with a smile before leaving the room with my men behind me. I didn't want to leave her, I wanted her presence next to me but I also had to make sure she was safe. With rogues all over this human territory, she could be in danger.
