I faltered as Foose Croony gave me another unnerving stare when I got on the bus. I mean, what was I supposed to do when some weird old guy with no name suddenly eyes you every time you get on a bus? I know what you do. You cue the shivering *shudder*. I walked up to Knox who looked very interested in the window.

"Hey Knox."

No answer. I repeated myself, this time repeatedly poking her with my finger.

"What?! What?!"

"Hi Knox." I replied with a smile. She rolled her eyes at me and presumed her viewage of the window. I was about to ask what she was staring at when a boy who I had never seen before climbed up the bus steps and was having a conversation.

With Foose Croony.

As far as I know, Foose Croony had never talked. Ever. But there he was, chatting with stranger boy. I couldn't hear his voice which was a shame because I was sure it must have sounded like a rusty door. After a short talk, the boy turned around, look straight at Knox (who was staring at him with very wide eyes), and left. I looked at Knox, who was still staring at the place the boy used to be.

"Who was that?"

"Eh?"

"Did you know that guy?"

"No!" Knox snapped, "Why would I know him?!"

"Oh, she sooooo knows him" I thought.

"Ok ok, just checking."

Knox nodded and continued to stare out the window, the surprised expression was still on her face and I watched as her eyes followed the boy until he was out of sight. I was about to comment on this, but I decided not to. It would be better to discuss this when Foose Coony was out of sight. Ever since he had looked at me with his weird eyes, I had an unnerving feeling about him. The bus lurched forward and Knox and I rode in silence all the way to school.

The bus lurched again, this time to a stop and the creaky doors opened to let us out. Knox and I were almost out the door when we both heard a rusty voice that sounded almost one hundred- no- one thousand years old.

"The arrow and the fish were never meant to meet. Only balance will save this world."

My eyes widened and when I turned around I gasped when I saw that Foose Croony was the one that was talking. I had no idea what the hell he was talking about, so I just pulled Knox with me and we both ran to the school for no apparent reason. When we reached the front doors we were both out of breath. I looked at Knox who looked as weirded-out as I felt and we were both about to open our mouths when Melody bounced over for a greeting. "Well, we're all ready for school today aren't we?" she said with a smile. "You're both panting like Phoenix when he comes from running two miles at the dog tracks." She continued to talk, but I wasn't listening and I don't think Knox was either. For some reason Foose Croony, or whatever his name is, words sounded important. Not like a there's-a-shoe-sale-for-fifty-percent-off important, more like a life-or-death important. The arrow and fish thing meant nothing to me, but the balance part made my stomach to a flip and I leaned against a wall to catch my breath again.

Knox was holding her arm and for the first time, I noticed she was wearing a sweatshirt... in 82 degree weather. Usually that fact would be the first thing I would notice, but at that point I was still too freaked out and Melody was looking at both of us like we had grown a second head. "A-are you guys okay? You have asthma or something?" I didn't know what to say until I heard Knox laugh nervously and mumble something about how we got freaked out by a spider on her backpack. I nodded along to her story until the school bell rang, and for once, I didn't want to be late. We all walked into homeroom together with Melody laughing at us for getting so freaked out about a spider and Knox and I were laughing too, but we weren't really listening. I sat down in my seat and looked at Knox who mouthed "later." She seemed like she knew something, something important. I looked out the window until I felt a rumble in my pocket.

Followed by another rumble.

And another one.

I flicked out my phone.

-Melody has entered the conversation

-Knox has entered the conversation

-Sunny (You know it!) has entered the conversation.

Melody: Hello?

Melody: guys?

Melody: HULLO?!?!?!

Knox: WHAT WHAT?!

Sunny: WOTWOT???? :3

Sunny: That's a british person :3

Melody: woah, calm urselves.

Sunny: U don't just tell a british person to calm down/

Melody: I waz taling to Knox.

Meldoy: *talking

Knox: well, ur the one who rang my phone three times.

Melody: because u weren't picking up!!!

Knox: Maybe I didn't feel like picking up.

Sunny: Eating popcorn, watching cat fight.

Melody: maybe u should have picked up on the first ring!

Knox: @ Sunny O.o

Sunny: @Knox :D

Melody: glare glare

Knox: shut up Melody.

Melody: Wat the hell is wrong with u?

Sunny: *wearing #1 thumb in bleachers as an innocent bystander

Knox: Innocent my arse.

Melody: Ur not too innocent either Ms. Wake up on the wrong side of the bed.

-Knox has left this conversation

Melody: Wats her problema?

Sunny: I think I might know amiga.

-Sunny(You know it!)  has left this conversation

I sighed and tucked my phone back in my pocket. Knox had an angry aura about her (does that sound too hippish?) and so did Melody. Did they have a fight or something? Suddenly, I had this urge to balance out the fight they were having, but I didn't do anything about it.
