His Savior

Not The Same

               I head past the packhouse to the row of houses along the eastern border. I see the light on at the home I'm going to and a silhouette of a woman out front. I take my time walking toward the house, replaying the last few hours.

*Start of Flashback*

               I let Nero take over, and we are bounding through the woods. I'm running into branches and trees, but I don't care. I'm trying to shake off the anger that is consuming me. How dare she not take me up on my offer. How many Alpha's would extend such an offer anyway? We would both benefit, and we can combine the packs.

               We make it out to an open field, where we plop down. Our head is laying on our front paws, and I'm willing us to calm down. I hear twigs crack behind me and I wonder who would be bold enough to walk up on me. I turn quickly and growl at the person walking up to me. "Al.....Alpha?!" The voice is shaky and low. I take a good look at who it is, and my mood does not improve. I growl again, causing Nikki to drop to her knees and exposes her neck in submission. I move to turn away from her and go back to where I was. "Alpha, wait. I......I have information." If I were in my human form, I would be sighing at this point. I swear Nikki will do anything to keep my attention. "Alpha, please." I stop moving and sit down. I turn my head to the side, accessing Nikki from top to bottom.

               I nod my head, indicating that she can speak. I could mindlink her, but I don't want to take the time. Nikki sits up straight and looks all around her as if she is waiting for someone to pop up out of nowhere. "I....I was out walking and I saw Cory visiting his father's grave." What the hell do I care about that wolfless nobody visiting a burial site? It means nothing to me. I huff loudly, and Nikki must have realized that I'm quickly losing my patience. "He.....he said that he found his mate. He told his dad that he found his mate today and he was going to reject her." I stand up and start to stalk toward Nikki. Who the hell is this mate that Cory supposedly had? He has been in this pack since he turned 18, and we have had no new members. There were only the visitors we had today, and I don't want to consider that what I'm thinking could be real. "He said his mate was Zahara." I howl loudly and take off deeper into the woods, leaving Nikki alone.

*End of Flashback*

               The rage I felt when Nikki told me what she knew consumed every inch of me. I could only see red, and I had to get rid of the threat to my happiness. It wasn't hard to find Cory since his routine never changes. I decided to leave him near our borders in the neutral area. It will look like he tried to leave the pack and was caught by rogues. I was sure to hide my scent before I got to him to make sure no one could put it on me. He wasn't dead when I left him outside, but being wolfless, he will be shortly. Now there is nothing standing between Zahara and me.

               I still have pent-up rage in my body, and I need to release it, which is how I find myself walking up the steps to Nikki's waiting arms. She has a smirk on her face, and it pains me to see. I wish I could wipe that look off of her face, but it is somewhat valid. "I see you've come to your senses." I say nothing but push past her through the door. I stop in the entryway, and Nikki closes the door behind her. She stands in front of me and starts to run her fingers up and down my chest. I push her into the wall behind her, and that gains me a small growl. I run my hands up to her breast and cup them. I start to tweak and pinch her nipples, and Nikki arches her back to push them further into my hands. I can smell her arousal, which is as strong as it always is. Nikki runs her hands down my thighs, but I notice that nothing is happening. I decided to ignore that and continue to feel Nikki up.

               Nikki reaches up and attempts to kiss me, but I turn my head at the last minute. I don't want to taint my lips with her as I'm waiting for Zahara. Crazy I know, but what can I say? Nikki starts to kiss down my neck and then my chest, but I still feel nothing. There are trails of blood all over my body, but that doesn't seem to stop Nikki. As she kisses my chest, she pulls my basketball shorts down. I'm not standing at attention, and Nikki smirks. "Let me help you with that." Nikki gets on her knees in front of me and grabs my soft appendage. She starts to swirl her tongue around the tip while squeezing my sack. Nikki sucks my appendage into her mouth and sucks on it. Her mouth feels good, but it isn't enough to make it grow. I don't know how long Nikki is at it, but I'm starting to get frustrated. It has never taken me long to respond to a woman, and I don't know what the issue is now. I can't communicate with Nero to see what the issue is. I finally pull Nikki off of me and take a step back. She has a pout on her face. "I wasn't done yet." I don't respond. I step out of my shorts and snatch the front door open. I run out the door, and the minute I get to the edge of the porch, I jump off of it and shift into Nero. I take off into the woods, trying to get my mind right. I need to come up with a plan. When I meet with Ash Band next week, I will not be returning home alone.
