It took a while before Cory, and I finally made it to the bed. I always imagined how this would be, but I never thought it would be like this. My body feels sore, but I really need to pee. Cory fell asleep the minute his head hit the pillow, and I did too. Then I wake up to my bladder feeling like it's going to burst.

Cory and I are wrapped up together, so I'm trying to figure out how to get loose without waking him up. I try to untangle our legs, being careful to stop moving if Cory even so much as twitches. Our legs come undone, and I set out to untangle the rest of us. I'm working hard while trying to keep the pee inside. All of a sudden, Cory shoots up straight. He screams out in pain, and he starts to sweat profusely. Any ideas of using the restroom have fled out of my mind, and I'm immediately focused on Cory.

I can hear a crack in the air, followed by a scream of pain. Cory is shifting! I need to get him outside as soon as possible. I jump out of bed and throw on Cory's t-shirt. I mindlink Lennox so he can help me get Cory out. While I wait for Lennox, I sponge Cory off and try to speak soothing words in his ear.

Lennox appears not too much later, looking disheveled and panting. "Cory's shifting. I need you to help me get him outside." Lennox nods and lifts Cory out of bed, and puts him over his shoulder. I walk behind them in case I need to help grab him or something.

We finally make it outside and to the tree line. I don't want everyone to gawk at Cory shifting, but I also don't want to go too far into the woods. Lennox sets Cory down and backs away to give us space. Cory is drenched in sweat and looks pretty pale. I hate that he is going through this right now, even though the end result will be amazing. I wish I could take his pain away and still give him his wolf.

The rearranging of his bone had slowed down on our trip outside. Now, it seems to be picking back up. Cory starts to moan and groan, and the sound of boned cracking rings out into the night air. The sight is a lot to take in, and I realize I never truly watched anyone shift for the first time before. Usually, our parents are with us and help us through, but I haven't been present in the past. This is scary to watch, and if I didn't know what this was all about, I'd probably be freaking out. This, actually, looks worse than you can imagine.

I start to see fur sprout all over Cory's body. His fur is a dark gray color with strands of white woven in. Cory's claws start to come out of his fingers and toes. His face starts to elongate and morph into a snout. Cory's body continues to contort, driving him to scream out again and again. I peel my shirt off and shift into Aria's form. Maybe that will help his wolf form come out fast. We crawl on the ground until we are next to him, letting our body heat envelop him.

After what seems like forever, Cory stands up on four legs and shakes his fur out. Well, not Cory, but Sylas. Sylas is as big as Aria, only surpassing her by maybe an inch. Where Aria has white fur with strands of gray, Cory has the most beautiful gray fur. I wonder if the strands of white are meant to complement our fur.

Aria rubs her body against Sylas and nuzzles at his neck. Sylas nuzzles Aria's neck and then her snout. Sylas looks to the moon and lets out a loud and long howl. Aria starts to nip at Sylas' backside, which starts the playful back and forth before they take off, Sylas chasing Aria. I decide to retreat into the back of Aria's mind because I'm sure that the playfulness will wear off and the carnal desires will start. I don't want to interfere with their time together.

The sun is super bright, and I'm feeling uncomfortable. I swear it feels like I'm on top of a bunch of rocks. I crack my eyes open and try to look around, but all I see is a blue sky. It takes me a minute to remember what happened.

I shifted for the first time last night. I can't believe I actually shifted, and I now have a wolf. Sylas and Aria played around for a while and then got physical. I start to move my body and feel a weight on me. I look down and see the top of Zahara's head. That's right.........we fell asleep out here, and I probably am on top of rocks because I wouldn't let Zahara's body hit the forest floor.

She starts to stir on top of me, and I watch her move. I notice a mark on her neck, my mark. Oh yeah, I did mark her after our wolves had their fun. We are now mated and marked, and I couldn't be happier.

Zahara moans a bit and lifts her head, looking at me. I smile at her, and she smiles back. "We did it. We mated, and we marked each other." I can feel the smile spread across my face so big that it starts to hurt.

"Yeah we did. You are stuck with me forever." Zahara chuckles, and it's music to my ears.

"I wouldn't want to be with anyone else. Sylas is a handsome wolf." Sylas flops in my head at that, hiding his face being bashful.

"Aria is beautiful. Sylas can't believe how lucky he is." Zahara lifts and places her lips softly on mine.

"We are the lucky ones. I guess we should head back to the packhouse." She stands up and stretches, reaching out a hand for me to grab. I allow Zahara to help me up, and she laughs when she sees my backside.

               "What's so funny?"

"You have rocks and twigs everywhere. You have the indentions of the the forest floor on your back." I pull Zahara to me and kiss her forehead.

"It was worth it for you to be blemish free." Zahara leans up and kisses me. We turn and walk toward the packhouse hand in hand. I never knew my life could be like this, that I could be this happy. I never imagined having a wolf or a mate, and now I have both. I don't know what I did to be so blessed, but I'm forever thankful.
