~Third Person~

Four months have passed quickly, and so much has happened. The Wild Tail pack quickly got over the loss of their known leaders. Everyone wasn't on board with Cory as Alpha, but no one felt strongly enough to voice their opposition.

Cory and Zahara made some changes to how the pack treated others as well as how they went about daily life. Cory's hope was to have everyone feel welcomed and everyone works together to keep the pack going. Even pack members who are against Cory can't deny the benefits he was bringing to the pack.

Cory and Zahara officially take over the Ash Band pack as well. Things continue to go smoothly there as they had before. Flora decided to stay at the Ash Band pack, there being too many negative memories back home. Flora and Maurice found a few common interests and are rarely without each other. The elders took Frankie because of his crimes against his Alphas. Len and Justin were given the opportunity to do better and only served a small amount of time in the cells.

~Cory~

Today is the day that we will break ground on the new packhouse. We have been working on getting the land clear so we can build. It has been a journey, to say the least, getting approval to purchase the neutral land and finding the right people to make our dream a reality.

Cyrus has been running the day-to-day at the Wild Tail pack with Bryn. She has gone from being the Gamma female to a Beta. Bryn has stepped into her role with no issues. Lennox continues to be the Beta at Ash Band. Zahara and I have split our time between the two packs, not really visiting one of them alone. The packhouse that will be built will keep us in a central location between both packs. Since our Betas are doing so well, Zahara and I have discussed the possibility of not having a Gamma. I'm not too sure about thought because Justin has been showing a different side to us, and he may be a perfect candidate for Gamma.

I leave our office, knowing that it's close to the time for the groundbreaking. We have an hour until the ceremony, and I need to find Zahara. I head downstairs to the kitchen, and she is at the island. I figured she'd be here for an after-breakfast snack. Zahara has been snacking a lot lately, being about four months pregnant. She has two more months to go until she gives birth. We have decided to wait until the baby comes to know the gender.

"Hey babe. I was just having a snack before we left." I smirk at Zahara.

"I figured you would be. That's why I came here looking for you." I kiss Zahara on her forehead and steal a chip from her plate. She swats my hand away and gives me a fake scowl at my theft. I rub her belly, feeling small kicks. I can't wait to meet our baby. I'm a bit scared to be a father, but I have Alpha Byron to help me be the best father I can be.

"You can't complain about how much I eat. It is your fault that I'm like this, you know." I lean in close to Zahara, so my mouth is at her ear.

"I don't recall you complaining when it happened, though." Zahara giggles, and I straighten up, gathering her trash and dishes to put them away. Once I'm done, I take Zahara's hand and lead her out the back door so that we can head to the ceremony.

~Zahara~

The ceremony was amazing, and I'm so excited to get the packhouse started. It won't be as big as the two we have already, but it will be big enough. We will have a big living area to accommodate our family and a floor for guests. We figure that any special guests we have will stay at that packhouse. It will also have the usual floors for entertainment for the packs. We want all pack members to feel welcomed there. We also introduced a name change to bridge the packs together. It's no longer the Wild Tail pack and the Ash Band pack, but it's now the Wild Band pack. I'm not really into the name, but it's what was voted on.

We are at the picnic, and there are a sea of people. Cory put me at a table and brought me plates of food. I love him so much; he has been so attentive the minute we found out we were expecting. Cory leaves to get me a drink, and Nona walks up to the table.

"Hey, Alpha, you are looking so gorgeous these days." She has been healing slowly but has been healing. I try to keep my distance because I know this could be a sore subject for her, losing her baby and all.

"Thank you so much, Nona. Please have a seat; keep me company." Nona puts her plate down and sits in front of me. We start to talk about things that have been going on. Nona has been taking online classes and doing a bit of traveling. Cory comes back with my drink and sits next to me, joining in the conversation.

A throat clears next to us, and I look up to see Lennox with his plate. "Hey guys. The ceremony was great." I look between Lennox and Nona, neither saying anything to the other.

"Yes it was, Beta, but then again it was bound to go well. You did help in the organization," Cory replies. Lennox nods slightly in response.

"I enjoyed lending a hand and I can't wait until it's done. I will take over the Alpha quarters you two are in now." I laugh a bit. That is all Lennox has been talking about, taking over the Alpha quarters from us to have as his own. He has already been planning how he will redecorate. "I will leave you guys to it. I have some work to finish." Lennox turns to walk away from the table, but a voice stops him in his tracks.

"Uh, you.....you can join us if you have some time." Lennox faces us again, and a small smile appears on his face.

"I'd like that." Lennox sits next to Nona, and we ease into a light conversation. What a wonderful day today, I'm excited to see what comes next.
