               "Where are the elders' spies?"

"I left them in the cells."

"Do you think that was wise?"

"What else would you have me do, mother? They had to be somewhere they couldn't contact the elders, and it's best if they stay out of sight."

"Watch your tongue. You may be the Alpha, but I'm still your mother."

My head is pounding, and the loud voices are not helping the situation. I move slightly, and there is nothing but hard ground under me. Wherever I am, I'm sure it is not even close to being comfortable; forget about luxury.

I try to move my arms, but they are tied at the wrist. I go to move my legs, but they are tied at the ankle. "I wouldn't bother; you won't be able to get free." I adjust my body so I'm lying on my side. I don't make a sound while I do so, even though I'm in a good amount of pain. "Nothing to say? You weren't so tight-lipped when you were telling me how much you'd rather die than be with me." I let my eyes land on Laslo but continue to hold my tongue.

Laslo is sitting in a chair not too far from where I lay on the floor. He has a smug look on his face that I would love nothing more than to wipe off in the most violent way possible. "You know, I ran into that mate of yours," Laslo says as he adjusts in the chair so that he is leaning forward. "It is beyond me why you'd rather have such a weak excuse of a man when you could have me."

I let a look of disdain cross my face. As if Laslo is someone to wish for. Just the way he has treated his mate is proof enough that he is one of the worst types of people. My mind wanders, and I remember something that I put together before I blacked out. If I'm to be stuck here, it will be smart to get something out of it. "You know I will be killing Cory in two days. Once that's done, you won't have to worry about anything, and we can be together."

I look Laslo dead in his eyes. "Why did you try to rape me back in high school?" I watch the color drain from Laslo's face. He opens and closes his mouth as if he is trying to speak but can't get the words out. Laslo jumps up and storms away, and I can feel a small smile of satisfaction cross my face.

"Hey Flora, how have you been?" Flora lets go of me and settles down in front of me.

"I....I've been okay. I can't believe you are here." I give her a half-hearted smile. There is no reason to let Flora bare the weight of my anger and sadness. She has nothing to do with what has been going on with me and those close to me. She has always been there for me as much as possible. Flora would risk a lot just to be decent to me.

I thought about her a lot while I've been gone. I was worried about how she was doing. To be honest, Margaret was never very motherly to Flora, which always made me sad. Everyone should have parents who love them and show them how much they do. Dad doted on Flora for the little bit of time he was able to be around her, but she wasn't fortunate enough to really be able to experience life with him and his love.

"You came here because you have information?" Flora's head drops, and she starts to wring her hands.

"They.....they left. Mom and Laslo left. Things have been crazy around here, but I didn't think things would go this far."

"Why don't you meet us in the dining room? Let me get more presentable." Flora nods and stands up. She heads over to the table and has a seat. Lennox hands me a pair of pants which I quickly put on. I stand in the middle of my destruction and look around. I honestly did a number on this room; me, along with Sylas. I will have to have someone clean the mess up, but right now, I need to try to find my mate.

Lennox and I sit at the table with Flora, and she starts to tell us everything she's become aware of. I have to say; my little sister knows quite a lot. I guess when you are greatly ignored, it's easy to gather information without people knowing what you're doing.

Flora knows a lot about what Laslo has been up to. Come to find out, Laslo met his mate and kidnapped her. She was probably being held here just like Zahara was. Flora didn't know the complete plan, but she knew that his mate had disappeared one day and her family is under the impression that she is off learning at a college.

Flora said that the men the elders left here have been locked in the cells for a couple of days. That's probably why the elders hadn't heard from their team. Lennox is going to send a few warriors to get them from the cells.

It seems this pack has been falling by the wayside, and it's sad. Many members don't realize what has been happening or the trouble their Alpha has been bringing to their doorstep. It will take a bit of time to get things sorted out. We need to make a plan to bring the members up to speed. I guess we need to have the elders involved to start to figure out what to do with this pack.

Flora starts to cry a bit as she finishes telling us what she knows. I know she is stressed and worried. "I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. Mom left, Laslo left.....I'm all alone."

"Flora, how would you like to come home with me?"
