Chapter 14

Bree met me at the movies on Saturday. I could tell she was hesitant, but she came, and that's all that mattered. She wore a sequenced blue tank top, black jeans, her jean jacket and blue converses. She was beautiful.

"Did you dress up just for me?" I asked with a sly look on my face.

"Don't look so smug. I don't wanna embarrass my parents by wearing a sweatshirt and sweatpants. I might as well look decent outside the house." I smiled. She looked away. "So what movie are we seeing?"

"Well I kinda wanted to see Skyfall, but it's also your choice."

"Really? No horror movies so you can put your arms around me while I scream?"

"You don't seem like the type of girl who'd fall for that."

"I'm not." She thought for a minute. "We can see the Last Exorcism II. As long as you don't put your arm around me. At all, understand?"

"Yes ma'am."

We walked into one of the theaters were her leading me like a commander. Something told me she like to be in charge. We sat in a middle row of the movie theater where a million other people there, but I didn't complain. The movie started, and I had to admit, I was a little scared when it was over. During the whole movie, Bree didn't even flinch. It was almost as if it was boring to her. Or just was just pretending it was.

"I'm sorry." She said.

"For what? It was fun."

"No it wasn't. Your just saying that. I'm sorry you ended up with such a bad soulmate." She put her head in her hands and groaned. "It sounds worse when I say it out loud."

"Your not a bad soulmate and I totally agree with you on the whole 'saying it out loud' thing."

"No. Your nice. You deserve someone who is kind and generous to you, not someone who your forced to me with."

"I'm not forced to be with you. If I was, I wouldn't even go. I like you. A lot. Even if you don't feel the same." I gulped. She looked up at me. "The next one will be better, I promise."

"I sure hope so."
