Chapter 22

My mouth was dry as I woke up the next morning. I had spent he night before screaming at my parents. They didn't seem to understand the concept of imprinting. I didn't have a choice in it. But I loved Seth with all my heart, as did Renesmee love Jacob. Renesmee had gotten grounded for speaking against her parents. She was only allowed to go to school and back and she could only call her parents. They had been checking her phone every night. She called me after they grounded her the next morning and started screaming. She almost sounded happy to be grounded.

"So your grounded... And your happy?"

"Yes! I've always wanted to tell off my dad. He's so overprotective and cold. It's incredibly annoying and I didn't think I could live like that for the rest if eternity."

"Congratulations then."

"Thank you."

"So it took this one boy to make you go against your parents? I've been trying to make you do that for years!"

"I know, but Jacob is so sweet and gentle and.. I really wanna see him again. He could always come to our school, right? Like he could pick up Seth or something? I just need to find a way."

"We will. He really likes you too. That's what Seth told me. He says the guy can't stop thinking about you."

"Really?" I didn't have to look at her to know she was blushing and curling her hair all flirty.

"Really."

"Aww that's so-" She got cut off by a voice in the background.

"RENESMEE CARLIE CULLEN! ARE YOU ON THAT PHONE?!" She took her face away from the phone.

"Yes, so what?"

"Is there something about grounded that you don't understand? Get up here now!"

"Don't tell me what to do old man!"

"What did you just call me?! I said get up here!" She put her face back to the phone.

"I gotta go Bree. My dad is on his period."

"See you at school then."

"Yeah of course."

Bree couldn't stop laughing at Renesmee yelling at her father. Her giggles echoed through the whole house that day. Her stomach hurt after a forever of laughing. She loved her sister so much in that moment.

She had seen Seth in school the next day. Lucky for him, Leah can't tell their mom about the whole wolf thing so Seth couldn't transfer schools. He smiled when he saw me the next morning.

"Hey beautiful." He said.

"Hey handsome."

"What's up? How's Renesmee doing?"

"She's grounded. And having the time of her life." Seth raised an eyebrow. "Yeah, I know." He kissed me on the lips softly then held my hand as we walked to class. We saw Renesmee on the way there. She ran to me and smiled. Her hug nearly took the breath out of me.

"Squeezing.. Too.. Hard." I managed to let out.

"Oh. Sorry." She turned to Seth. "Hey Seth. Anything new from Jacob?"

"No. Sorry." She frowned.

"Oh. Ok. Well, maybe he's just busy with high school and everything." Seth looked sympathetic, but Renesmee shook it off.

"So lets go to English then." Me and Seth looked at each other with worried expressions. We'd thought Renesmee would go crazy, but she seemed awfully fine. We got through the day all the way to lunch. Renesmee avoided us the minute we started kissing and Seth started laughing. On our way to lunch, we noticed something wasn't right.
