Chapter 3

Nandini's pov

The first week of the semester went by and I was starting my new job today. Cabir and I were sorta talking more and by that I mean I was getting comfortable with him, just the talking part though

There were times where he would hug me but I moved away every time and every time his eyes had this flash of sadness but I can't, I just need time.

That wasn't the only part though, manik, yup the one starring at me during my first class, he heard me the other day. I was having a nightmare when he heard me and knocked on my door. I did tell him it was nothing but I could tell he wasn't convinced.

Well anyways so I am starting work right now and the first hour or so was super hard but then I have gotten used to it.

"Hi what can I get you" I asked to the next customer

"Hi Choti, I will get a strawberry milkshake if thats not much" hearing the voice I looked up to see cabir bhai

"Hi bhai"

"Hi, when did you start working here" he asked

"Umm today" I said making his milkshake

He paid for it and even left me a tip making me slightly smile, I handed him his milkshake and he looked at me

"Tu thik hai" he asked

"Mai this hu" I said with a smile and he nodded

"Coffee" i heard a voice making me look up to see manik

"What kind" I asked and he looked up from his phone

"Hi' he said and I nodded

"Umm any kind" he said and I looked at bhai for help

"Make him a strong iced coffee with umm a caramel shot in it" he said and I nodded

"Did I ask you" manik said to cabir who snorted laughing

"Woke up on the wrong side of the bed" he asked

"Shut up" manik said

"Aww she didn't let you finish last night" bhai said and I pressed my lips together hoping not to giggle

"Will you shut up, there was nothing last night"

"Oh lair, I saw her in a bathroom walking into our dorm"

"Ya well I sent her away, the girl was naked under the robe and wouldn't let me leave" he said

"There you go" I said handing him the coffee, he nodded

"Thanks Choti, this human has no manners, he just didn't get off last night so bare with him" he said and I kind of giggled causing manik to give me a look

"Sorry" I mumbled seeing him glaring at me

"Stop glaring at her" bhai said

"Sorry I won't anymore" I said and he walked closer to the ledge of the counter

"I like when you giggle" he whispered walking away

"He is a gone case" bhai said making me smile

"Bye bhai"

"We are just studying at the end table, I will come bother you again" he siad as he walked behind manik making me mummble an okay

The rest of the night was good, I mean it was slow and steady plus richa aunty was right there if I needed help

"Nandini let fab 5 know we are closing in 20 minutes"

"Who is fab 5" I asked

"Seriously" she asked
