"Manikkkk" she exphasized my name running to me

"Yes princess"

"Look" she said pointing at the park by the place

"Yes"

"Thye have swings, I wanna go there, swingss ehhh ayyayya" she was jumping up and down like a child who has had way too much candy

"Yes they do, how about we eat then go play" she grinned nodding

We walked inside and the receptionist smiled at us

"Good morning, do you guys have a table booked" she asked

"Yes under manik Malhotra"

"Sir it will take a couple minutes to get the table ready, sorry about that"

"It's all good" I said and stood away from the reception

Nandini leaned on my chest and I hooked my arm behind her resting on her back

"You make me happy" she whispers

"Likewise my love, what would you wanna have"

"Milkshake" she said

"Other than milkshake" I asked

"Umm nothing"

"Princess" I warned and she rolled her eyes at me playfully

"Ill have whatever you have"

"You happy?" I asked and she nodded

"More than I have ever been, last night was so helpful, thank you so much for asking me and pushing me to say everything, it really helped. It feels like I can finally say something without having to think twice and it feels like I am past it"

"I love seeing you so happy, your smile is contagious" I said kissing her nose

"Sir your table s ready" the receptionist said and we walked inside and were seated

I looked through the menu and found dosa on it so I ordered dosa, pasta and 2 yogurt parfaits to go

"Nandini no" I said seeing she is about to take a sip of my coffee

"Why" she wined

"You will get hyper princess"

"Please"

"Okay but only a little bit" she nodded sipping on it

We ate while talking about random things, we paid and grabbed out yogurt parfaits along with really think milkshakes. I put them in the car and we walked to the park.

Nandini's happiness had no limits, the girl was jumping around, running around swings while stood there watching her playing. I sat down on a table and just took a whole bunch of pictures of her, she is so cute.

i could tell she hadn't been out in a park in a long long time and it breaks my heart to even think that, everything she went through is so fucked up and the fact that she stands here and tries to smile is beyond me but I know that she will never face anything of that sort again because I won't let her.

"Princess come on, time to go shopping" I said seeing how sweaty her face was fro running around so much

Without fussing she ran to me falling in my arms as I wrapped my arms around her.

"Ma-manik this"

"Shh catch your breath first" I said picking her up with one arm walking towards the car

I opened the door for her and set her on her feet, she was still breathing heavier

"Thank you" she mumbled getting inside

I got int he drivers seat and she buckled herself with he belt while I turned to her.

"Kya hal bana rakna hai yeh" I said grabbing some tissues from the back

"Woh mai khel rahi thi na" she said as I wiped her face

"Han baba, tired" I asked and she shook her head smiling at me

"You will take me to a different park some other time" she asked

"Of course love, but for today that's enough we need to go the mall too" I said giving her the milkshake

"Yummy" she said sipping on her milkshake

"So what does my princess wanna do" I asked and she smiled

"Umm mall is good then you said movie right" I nodded

She grabbed onto my arm again and placed my arm on her thigh.

"Yours taste better" she said sipping on my milkshake

"Does it" I asked and she nodded putting her milkskae in front of me, I took a sip and smiled

"Now yours" she said as I sipped mine

"Yup, it is better" I teased

"I know, but it's okay now we know what flavour I like" she said an di nodded

"Manik" I hummed in response caressing her hand

"Can we talk about umm something"

"Of course princess, what is it" I asked glancing at her but still focusing on the road

"I umm so since we are in a relationship I know you have your needs and I'm not saying they are wrong because they aren't. I mean I am the one with a broken past and that shouldn't even interfere in this but I guess it is so I need to make this clear prior. I don't wanna have sex yet, I need time to get over things, thats not saying that I never want to but I just"

A part of me was angry, I was pissed that she thought my needs will come first and be before her, then again a part of me is glad because I know she needs time

"Manik" she called seeing I haven't said anything

"Nandini im gonna say this once and never again so just listen very carefully. One, I don't care about this need shit you just said, sure I have needs but they are not superior to my feelings for you, my love for you. I understand that you need time to heal and you have all the time you need and want plus im right here every step of the way. However the fact that you think my needs are more important to me is not good, you don't wanna have sex and thats fine. I would never force you to do anything and sex is the least of my worries" I said and I knew my words weren't super soft but I need her to understand this

"I understand it, sorry I was just"

"I get it princess, I get it but when I said I love you to you I meant it. Love for me isn't about sex and shit, it is beyond that"

"I know" her voice was barely audible

I didn't say anything and neither did she, i need to make her feel secure so she never thinks that again

Once we got to the mall, I parked and put the window up. I turned to her and noticed face wasn't happy anymore, it was bland.

"Princess" she looked up to me still holding onto my arm

"I am sorry for using those words, I know you need time and you have that. The point is, I do not want to do anything you are uncomfortable with ever and I mean ever" I said

"Im sorry I was just saying it, I know you will not do anything that makes me uncomfortable, it was in my head so I said it and im sorry" she said

"It's okay I understand too, im sorry for using such words too" I said and her grip on my arm tightened

"Milkshake" she said making me chuckle

"You are so cute" I said and she giggled
