Ceres Beau.

"So, you're telling me his wife knew he loved you more than he loved her, and it could possibly be the reason why their marriage was always rocky despite seeming in love, — and lately besides you not being told that he's got feelings for you you've been feeling things for Gavin, Drake is trying to come back into your lives, and his mother might be at the forefront of the meddling this time, and it seems his father sent someone to spy or rather gather information at your office in the form of a man called Deklan." Hugh surmised as we both sat in the lounge, bottle of wine opened and actually catching up.

"Tell me about this last one, how do you know?" He questioned and I knew wheels were spinning in his head. "I asked Kol's dad mister Tempest through your husband to give me a consultant that could help me resurrect the old tech company I bought, he recommended two men at first, one of those was a close business associate of his, —he's helped mister Tempest and Kol on several if not all their endeavours, then suddenly his wife was in accident, —I thought it was mere coincidence until I met Deklan, he's proud, knows what he wants, goodlooking, pushy, well spoken, and easily swayed by money, —I dug up a whole past on him that can never come to light thanks to my father." I explained to Hugh and he hummed with a certain frown on his forehead.

I knew that particular frown, I called it death hour, because someone either died or was critically injured whenever Hugh had that frown. "So what do you want to do with him so we can never have this conversation ever again?" He questioned and I simply smiled. "Sneaky stuff, I like." Hugh teases with a grin that has both of us laughing. "I want him to believe he's got me enthralled, I want him to believe that he's got all his cards playing right for him whilst I dig for more information on Will, Drake's father, the only way I could ever get him off my back and out of my life truly is to have something equally nasty that will drive him away, at some point I know he'll come to claim my children, and I don't ever want that, so I need everything set before that and Deklan might just be the chess piece I need for that." I explained and Hugh had a proud smirk on his face.

"I knew you weren't just thick ass, light skin and angel faced, that brain of yours is devious, —but won't this plan of yours drive a wedge between you and Gavin, whatever is going on between you two, —I can tell there is something there." He asserted and I nodded, I knew my plan might doom whatever I have with Gavin but for his safety and my own plus the kids, I had to do this, I could risk it all now and live with the consequences as long as he was safe. "I know this might be a horrible plan but Hugh despite everything, Gavin is my whole life, Harry too and I can't put them in danger, I would rather live with the consequences of a horrible plan than have him hurt because of mister Will." I told him with full affirmation, I couldn't honestly live with myself if they were hurt.

I was surprised to see Hugh smile. "You've grown up sweetheart, it's not as if you needed the lesson but you know it now, it's not about you, it never was about you only, it's about him, the kids, us, family, they are what's important and when the time comes, don't worry I'll have a bullet ready for that snake." He exclaimed as he held me closer and I leaned into his huge frame, a kiss by my forehead making me feel warm. "Thanks Hugh." I whispered because I knew everything he had said, was true, he would kill for me, for his family. "Anything for my favourite, cousin, son, person, queer child —." He went on as we both burst out laughing, with the door keypad announcing the return of Gavin and the kids.

"Dada!" That would be my babygirl yelling her lungs out. "Lounge Lola, I'm in the lounge!" I yelled back as I sighed, goodbye peaceful night, she had sugar rush I could just tell as she was running into the lounge, her pink and blue outfit plus the tutu smeared or rather it seems she had swam in chocolate. "What in the world is this?" Hugh asked as I turned away from Lola and looked to my boys, they looked like a cotton candy and chocolate machine both threw up on them. "Take a picture." I slightly hissed as Hugh took several pictures before we both burst out laughing. "Not funny guys!" Gavin hissed. "It kinda is funny." I blurted out as my son and Harry narrowed their eyes on me before turning away from us.

"Okay I'm sorry—." I tried as Hugh tumbled onto the couch grabbing me in the process as we wheezed and laughed our asses off. "Ha, I knew I wouldn't be bored coming here!" He laughed as we both tried to calm down but then we looked at my daughter and it started all over again. "Daddy stop laughing, —itchy." She finally stated and I held myself enough, she was still extremely energetic but I knew the chocolate drying on her skin would make her skin tighten and itch indeed. So I went to grab her but Hugh patted me on the back. "I'll handle the chocolate princess, go handle the boys." He told me and I nodded giving him a grateful smile.

I set off for the boy's room, since Harry barely slept in his own allocated room or Klein camped in there, it was always confusing what they wanted, it seemed today, they were in Harry's soon trying to peel off chocolate clothing from their bodies making them hiss due to the pain. "It won't work, your skin will get irritated, bathroom now." I ordered and they shuffled into the spacious bathroom under the shower, I turned on the shower with a mildly warm temperature and it helped melt and wash off the chocolate. I was definitely going shopping for another pair Jordans, make that a whole list of clothing. When the chocolate was gone they removed the wet clothing easily.

"See, easy, now clean up, put your clothes—." I quickly grabbed a big plastic bin from the hallway closet and came back with it. "In this no way you're ever wearing these again." I asserted and they both sighed sadly more so when the Jordans were being tossed inside. "I'll get you both a new pair." I exclaimed and both of them had wide smiles. "Now clean up, —no waterfights." I demanded as I left them and went to check on Gavin in his room but he wasn't there, so I went to my bedroom and found him sitting on the floor. "I waited up." He spoke and I smiled sitting next to him. "Sorry I got the kids messy." He mumbled and it surprised me why he would apologize.

"They love being showered in chocolate, so what are you really apologizing for?" I questioned and he sighed heavily. "I—." He began but paused. "Are not ready." I finished for him as I caressed his cheek, those beautiful eyes of his, always a green or grey in them, even the obsidian, his mixed heritage always showing. "Come on." I whispered taking his huge hand in mine. "We've got a lifetime to figure us out, your skin might not." I mused as he chuckled. Standing to his full height Gavin was almost 6'6 if not more, it was sort of one of the things I liked about him, aside from other things as I removed his jacket, untied his shoes and took both off, unbuckled his belt and his pants fell to the ground, safe to say I was really suppressing a lot of urges yet this felt more emotional that sensual or lustful as I undressed him.

Of course I had seen him naked a lot of times but knowing what I knew now, things seemed different, as I grabbed his tee and helped him take it off, my fingers tracing the feel of his abs, every curve and dip of his v-line, just as his boxers dropped to the floor. "I'll go, you—." I tried but he grabbed my arm. "Don't, not now." He whispered and as I turned to face him, there was lust in his eyes, but it didn't seem like it was as the surface, there was fear there and I knew it all too well, so I nodded closing and locking the door, he helped me strip as we both stood beneath the shower, eyes locked. "Won't you bathe me like always." He huskily stated and I nodded with the tinge of a blush and I knew, whatever else came after this, —I couldn't run far enough or fast enough away from Gavin, try as I might, broken hearted or not, Gavin held me.
